5 2010 Wrangler - Belinda Installation Time: Afternoon

        Beautiful Rocker Guards

I never really liked the stock side steps on the jeep, so when I went looking for a replacement I found these. They were easy to install and look far better than the original steps. In my opinion at least.

These rocker guards shipped fast, were in perfect condition, easy to install, and look amazing. Took about 45 mins to install with two people (one person just holding them in place).

4 2017 Rubicon - ScottG Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

Smittybilt SRC rocker guards - 4 door JK

Initial unboxing showed they were an "out of box" item. They were in great condition and after further looking they looked ok. Extreme Terrain offered me to return and replace them but I declined because they showed no signs of damage. As for the rocker guards, they look great on the jeep. I was concerned they would look too bulky with no lift kit on but they look great. I have not tested out the functionality of them on the trails yet but they look like they'll do their job protecting the body. I would not use them for any step support however. They are only mounted using the 2 furthest body mounts which would not give great support. Install was very easy. I did it by myself and had no issues. 2 people would have been good to lift and hold while I was installing but not needed. I have read reviews that certain holes would not line up, I did not have any problems alligning any bolts.

        Solid product, easy install!

These rock sliders definitely add an aggressive look to your jeep! Straight out of the box you can tell that they are very sturdy and will serve their purpose if it comes down to it on the trail. anybody with more than 5 minutes experience with a wrench can install these in 30-45 minutes in their garage. 5/5 would buy it again if I got another jeep!

      5 Top Rated Questions

These rock sliders look like they could possibly interfere with the tires when there is possible articulation of the suspension. I had that problem with the stock Rubicon sliders and had to remove them. Will these rub the tires with a 3.5" lift and 35's installed? Will these interfere with the XRC fender flares?

      • The Smittybilt SRC Rocker Guards will not interfere with XRC fender flares. Due to differences in 3.5" lift kits, and variances from brand to brand of tire on measured size of a 35" tire, as well as wheel size and offset differences, we cannot confirm if this will clear on your individual setup, however most Jeeps with a 3.5" lift, and 35" tires using wheels with an appropriate offset will have no issues clearing.

Can you use these rocker guards with the Smittybilt body cladding? Without any installation interferences.

      • These Smittybilt XRC body cladding, item J17706, would not interfere with these sidesteps. The cladding would be drilled into the rocker panel, clear of these side steps.

Can you use hi lift jack on these rails with damaging them and your jeep?

      • The Smittybilt SRC Rocker Guards can be used as a hi lift jack lift point, however the round tubing of these will be prone to slipping, so it is not advisable, except for in emergency recovery situation.
