I have only had the opportunity to use this a couple of times since installing. (Hard mounted behind center console) But so far so good. I usually go from 25-35 on all 4 tires in about 5 minutes, running 35x12.5. Not having beadlocks, I won't go lower than that. But I am sure it wouldn't take much longer if you did go lower.Helpful (1)

Affordable and Capable
I was a bit concerned about getting one of the smaller and lower cost compressors, but this has worked great for me on a couple of trips. I'm filling 33" tires from 12lbs to 35-40lbs in about 4 minutes.Helpful (1)

Great little compressor
Very handy and powerful. I use it for coming off the sand beach and re-inflating my tires. Work great and I always keep in my Jeep in case of an emergency. Great value for the price!Helpful (1)

For the money and compact profile it’s a good product. Only have used it once but took stock 32” deflated to about 18lbs back up to pressure very quickly. Gauge on the hose was actually accurate as well! Overall a good buy for trail side fill-ups.Helpful (2)

It works well and only takes 1.5 minutes to get my 31s from 20 to 30 psi. Only thing I don’t like is how it screws onto the valve stem, and how hot it gets.Helpful (4)

A nice size compressor for a portable you can keep in the back of your Jeep. There are bigger ones and more pricey ones, but this works fine for general purpose stuff. Not as fast as others, but does the job. I only use it once for every 3 or 4 times needed though, as my trail buddies usually have a full size one available, so why not use that, right? This one is worth the price, for a portable though.Helpful (2)

just used this for the first time on a 3 day trail ride. I have 33 inch tires anti aired them up from 15 psi to 33psi all 4 in about 5-10 all together. great little compressor! it does tend to get warm but let it cool and it'll be fine. highly recommend this product and a MUST HAVE on trails for when you need to air down then air back up. great bag to keep everything together too!Helpful (6)

Good little compressor. Gets pretty hot though. My buddy bought the bigger one of this and his takes just as long to air up and gets hot too. So save a few bucks and get this one.Helpful (9)
Will this compressor fit inside a fat fifty ammo can?
The Smittybilt High Performance Air Compressor will be approximately 13 x 9 x 10 inches, we would suggest measuring your ammo can to confirm fitment.
Does this air down as well? Or will I need a separate tool for that?
This will indeed come with everything you need to air down and back up.
We run about 15lbs. of air when in the sand dunes. How long does it take to inflate them back up to 35lbs?
Depending on tire size it would take anywhere from 3-5 minutes per tire to inflate from 15-35 PSI.
What kind of duty cycle does it have? Can I run it as long as needed or only so many minutes of run time before I have to turn it off for a period?
The Smittybilt High Performance Air Compressor has a duty cycle of 40 Minutes at 40 psi.
What is the waight of the product?
Thank you for the question! The shipping weight on the air compressor is approximately 11.74 lbs.
It's not really vehicle specific. Note the bar at the top, which is a carrying handle (it is portable). Note the holes in the perimeter of the base, which notes that it is also mountable. The SmittyBilt website says that it can be hard-wired into a vehicle. SmittyBilt does not limit the use of this unit to any specific vehicle. The ET website only lists it for a vehicle to suggest that the part number is compatible, not that it is limited to, that vehicle.
You could use this in inflating blow up kayaks and floats.
It would be recommended to leave the Jeep runningwhile using this air system to help keep your battery from draining.
Yes, this has a maximum restart pressure of 150 PSI.
