Sizing. This Skyjacker Softride Hydro rear shock is for Jeeps with a 2.5 inch lifts. Skyjacker engineered this shock with an expanded fluid reservoir to increase the shock's life span as well as to reduce foaming. Hit the trails with confidence with Skyjacker shocks.

Properties. Your lift system should be more than just an aesthetic upgrade. Skyjacker's rear hydraulic shocks make instant adjustments on and off the trail so your rig has maximum traction no matter where you go. The multi-stage velocity sensitive valving is what gives this shock its responsiveness and its smooth highway ride. The sturdy twin-tube body, the 5/8 inch hardened double chrome rod, internal rebound bumper, and oversized piston head make this shock a fearless, trail tackling unit when installed on your JK.

Notable Features. The Softride Hydro is a hydraulic off-road rear shock that performs as good as it looks. Red polyurethane bushings provide immediate shock response, and look great with the included red polyurethane boots. The white steel body boasts Skyjacker's famous logo, giving your rig the off-road cred it deserves.

            Great Product

It was easy to install once I had the bushings inserted. It did take about 1 hr. just to put the bushings and pin on the shock. It took two people, a vice, and a lot of force to get the bushings and the pin in. Can't beat the price and they worked great after they were one.

            Hmmmmm!!!

I will be sending these back. Any shock that you can push n pull apart easily is not going to give you much support. Decals all wadded up in the box also

            Great Shock, Pain to Assemble.

I stuck these on my 2012 JK 2 door with a 2.5" spacer lift, and man, what a difference! Getting the bushing in wasn't that bad with a little soapy water, but getting the bar pin in took four hands and a ton of elbow grease. Once assembled, installation took less that 5 minutes with a cordless impact. There is a fairly rough but not too aggressive trail near be that I go on often. Compared to the stock shocks on 2.5" extenders, these new shocks are like butter! Great on road ride too. Only complaint is that they are a huge pain to assemble. Great bang for the buck.

            Great shocks great price

I stopped around to find a quality shock for a good price. OEM wasn't an option. They look good on and ride nice.

            Awesome shocks for the price

I received the shocks in about a week. So no issues with the delivery. When I opened up the box it looked like everything was there. I changed out the first three shocks without any problems. When I opened up the last shock. It was missing some pieces. I had already put all that time into installing the other shocks and their was no going back. I had to take a rubber bushing off one of the old OEM shocks and Frankensteined it into the new shock. I took my jeep off reading the next day and had no issues. They are awesome shocks and a great buy. Next time I'll go through all the boxes to make sure I have everything.

            Good Shock

Bought these for my 2008 JK, and I'm pleased with them, especially for the price. They installed fairly easily ( it took me longer than it should've, but that was not because of the shock, but rather due to the rusty bolts & nuts! ). The rear shock can be kind of a pain to assemble - use lots of WD-40! Once installed, noticed a definite increase in drive comfort and feels better on the trails as well, but it is not as much as I was hoping it'd be. All in all, though, it was money well spent.
