      Skyjacker Shocks

I am very happy with these shocks. They are installed on a 2008 JK Unlimited. I installed them at the same time I replaced the springs with 4in Steinjager lift springs. Why 2.5in shocks with a 4in spring? Well, I have 2.5in shock extensions already welded to my differential, so these are the right length for me. Always measure for your parts, don't just assume these are right by the descriptions... I selected these shocks for the price and because they have had pretty good reviews online. I am happy I went with them. I take this jeep off road a lot and while a really expensive set of shocks may be nice, I go under the assumption that much of my jeep equipment will suffer trail damage at some point. Install was as you would expect for a set of shocks. I was also changing out ball joints, so I had the advantage of having the entire front end disassembled, but that is obviously not necessary. It would have been nice if they included replacement lower shock bolts, but most people will be able to re-use their original ones. The shock boots are a nice material. I have had shocks in the past with really plastic feeling boots. These are soft and work well. The shock body is sturdy. Overall, these were a little heavier than the stock Rubicon shocks they replaced. Installed, they ride nicely and keep the new springs from bouncing. I would recommend these. They work great.

These shocks make my JK ride so smoothly with a 2.5" Rough Country lift. Highly recommend.

      Great Shock!

I stuck these on my 2012 JK 2 door with a 2.5" spacer lift, and man, what a difference! Much easier to assemble than the rear shocks. Bushings went in easy with a little soapy water. Once assembled, installation took less that 5 minutes with a cordless impact. There is a fairly rough but not too aggressive trail near be that I go on often. Compared to the stock shocks on 2.5" extenders, these new shocks are like butter! Great on road ride too. Only complaint is that they are a huge pain to assemble. Great bang for the buck.

      Great shocks

Installation for front shocks required a bit of trimming of plastic shroud above upper mount to be able to get to nut on top. Other than that went eaay.

      Great off road shocks

I received the shocks in about a week. So no issues with the delivery. When I opened up the box it looked like everything was there. I changed out the first three shocks without any problems. When I opened up the last shock. It was missing some pieces. I had already put all that time into installing the other shocks and their was no going back. I had to take a rubber bushing off one of the old OEM shocks and Frankensteined it into the new shock. I took my jeep off reading the next day and had no issues. They are awesome shocks and a great buy. Next time I'll go through all the boxes to make sure I have everything.

      Good Shock

I bought a set of these for my 2008 JK, and I'm pleased overall. The rear shocks were kind of a pain to assemble, but the fronts were very easy to assemble and install once I got all the old rusted bolts out of the way. It is helpful to have a friend with you, cuts down on the time considerably. Noticed a definite increase in driveability on & off-road, but it wasn't as pronounced as I was hoping it'd be. All in all, pleased with the shock. It was a good buy, especially for the price
