Rugged Ridge Tube Front Bumper - Stainless Steel (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK)
I'm Ryan with extremeterrain.com, and this is my review of the Rugged Ridge front tube bumper fitting all 2007 to 2016 JKs. This bumper is available on both the textured black finish you see here and also a stainless finish so you can really customize the look of your Jeep. This bumper is for those of you looking to swap out the front bumper on your JK either because it's damaged or just because you want a different look but you don't need the protection and additional features offered from an off road bumper. This tube bumper gives you that old school look that a lot of you guys are after without the additional cost and weight of an off road specific bumper. While this does offer a little more protection than your plastic factory bumper, it doesn't have a lot of those other off road specific features. This bumper doesn't have a winch mount or recovery points or mounts for additional off road lights. Although it does accept the factory fog lights, which is a nice feature. If you're looking for an off road bumper that has all those other features, I would suggest taking a look at one of the other bumpers on the website. But if you're looking for a stylish upgrade of your factory bumper that keeps both cost and weight down, this is a good option. This whole package weighs in at just 48 pounds even with the included frame cover. Installing a bumper on a JK is a pretty straightforward process. The first thing you'll need to do is remove your factory bumper and pop out those factory fog light housings. Those housings will get installed in this new bumper before installing the bumper back on the Jeep. This bumper includes eight studs on the back that will slide right into the factory frame horns, and everything gets bolted together with the hardware included in the kit. Once the bumper is bolted up, you'll be able to attach the included frame cover. The entire installation should take about two hours. You won't need any specialty tools, just some sockets, but some of the nuts are difficult to get to, so having a set of extensions and universals handy will make things easier. This bumper is priced fairly for what you get. It doesn't have a lot of the features of some of those off road specific bumpers, but if you're not going to be using that functionality, this is a good way to save a couple of dollars. If you're looking to change out the front bumper on your JK and you don't have the need for a lot of those off road specific features, this is a good bumper to take a look at. It offers that old school tubular bumper look all in a well-constructed lightweight package at an affordable price. That's my review of the Rugged Ridge front tube bumper fitting all 2007 to 2016 JKs that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.

What Fog lights Where does my front license plate go?
Hello, the Rugged Ridge Tube Front Bumper, Stainless Steel (07-17 Wrangler JK) will accept the Factory Fog Lights and unfortunately it doesn't have a designated location for the front license plate, but you can use something like the Rugged Ridge License Plate Bracket For 3 in. Tube Bumpers (87-17 Wrangler YJ, TJ & JK) and you can find it here: http://www.extremeterrain.com/rugged-ridge-license-3-jk-tj-yj-115038.html

spiffy looking but the holes for the fog lights are not round and had weld splatter in them. I chipped out the weld platter and filed on the fog light housing for about an hour and got them in.
