Keep Doorless Drives Safe and Legal. When the weather is great and you want to drive your Jeep Wrangler doorless, you need to put on a Rugged Ridge Rectangular Trail Mirror to keep your Jeep safe and legal. What sets it apart from a typical side mirror is its shorter arm. This rectangular trail mirror features an abbreviated arm that’s 3-inch shorter to keep it mounted closer to the Jeep’s body. This way, you keep it out of the way of trail hazards such as low-hanging branches and shrubs. And when you go back on paved roads, the mirror gives you a clear view of what’s behind your Jeep for safe and street-legal driving.
Premium Off-Road Jeep Accessory. This Rugged Ridge Rectangular Trail Mirror is made with durable steel that’s powder-coated for weatherproofing. As a Jeep accessory, you can be sure that Rugged Ridge used only premium materials and advanced manufacturing to produce this trail mirror.
Simplified Installation. The Rugged Ridge Rectangular Trail Mirror utilizes the windshield hinge for a simplified DIY mounting that’s also easily removable. A specially developed jamb nut comes in handy for easy mounting and removal.
Limited 5-Year Warranty. The Rugged Ridge Rectangular Trail Mirror is warranted against material and workmanship issues for 5 years. However, this is upon the condition that the product is installed, used, and maintained properly.
Application. The Rugged Ridge Rectangular Trail Mirror fits all 2018-2020 Jeep Wrangler JL models.

We’ve had the mirrors one season and the drivers side mirror still bolts on fine and size is large enough to see. From day one the passenger side mirror didn’t stay in place and the bolts got stripped out after the second install. Suggestion: don’t be cheap like me spend a little more money and buy higher quality.Helpful (1)

Not that great
Easy to install, hard to adjust. Constantly falling. Not worth even the low cost imo.Helpful (1)

Trail mirrors - alt location
Originally ordered these on AMAxON and had bad luck with them rotating at the wiper connection as a fabricated piece was stripped. Contacted RR and they explained the manufacturing problem they'd experienced and suggested ordering from a more reliable source for more current 2nd run stock. Return went fine and new ones shipped from Extreme Terrain. Happy with the final results.Helpful (1)

So So Buy
Products came packaged very well and install was easy. The driver side was a breeze, however when I got to the passenger side, the mirror was bent and the screw on components were broken. Appears the glue that holds the components together was not adhering. After fixing the broken parts and getting them installed, when traveling there is a lot of road noise (whistling) from the mirrors. Not the best purchase I've made, but they work in a pinch.Helpful (1)

Don’t buy these
Read some previous reviews about how easily that strip, but thought I would be very careful. Didn’t help, both sides stripped first time I used them. The quality of the pieces is fine, but the threading is terrible and weak. The only think they are good for is keeping me street legal, but no functionality, as the wobble and won’t stay in place. Do not buy these!!!!Helpful (1)

Mounting screw threads are very thin and brittle. Instantly stripped. Got a replacement, it stripped. Got a replacement set and they stripped. Finally gave up and took the loss. Great concept just poorly executed with cheap equipment.Helpful (1)

Mounting screw easily stripped, received a replacement and that also stripped easily when barely tightened. Prior, finger tight to a bare turn would not hold the mirror up when driving. Would not purchase again.Helpful (1)

Installing set of mirrors for the first time. Bought the set now I only have one functional. Upon installing the arm one of the lugs stripped. Saved it with my tap and die. I was happy with my self until tried to re install and the side that threads into the hinge just slid in and out as if it had no threads at all.Helpful (1)
how do these attach, EXACTLY? Looking at the picture it looks like the windshield hinge bolt is involved, how does this work?
These install to the windshield hinge. You would simply remove the nut on the hinge and replace it with the included mounting stud. Here is a link to the install guide for further reference. http://www.ruggedridge.com/instructions/11025.26.pdf
Has anyone had issues with these coming off? I have a pair from another brand and one broke off while I was driving this morning. I'd prefer these over door hinge mounted mirrors, but not if they won't stay on. Thanks!
If installed correctly these would not come off.
Looking at 2 of these for our 18' JLU . Question I have is the passenger side mirror and the the path it takes. How does this work with the antenna? Looks like the antenna would be clanking on the mirror arm while driving We were planning on changing that (antenna) out as well. Haven't determined which length of Rugged Ridge to go with yet though.
This will go behind the antenna, in front of the windshield pillar. We have not experienced any clanging.
Do these come in any other colors...? Possibly purple...?
We do not have this offered in other colors.
I see many reviews on this product about the bolts stripping. Why are there so many experiences and how should that be prevented?
Both mirrors are the same flat mirror on either side.
The windshield can be folded own still yes.
These can be left on with the doors but the doors will be harder to get on and will not open all the way due to the mirror.
You may notice some minor vibration with the Rugged Ridge Rectangular Trail Mirror but they will not flap or move. They have great visibility too!
We recommend using hand tools to prevent damage.
