Specs. Get better strength and operating angle, and reduce or completely eliminate driveline vibrations with this Front CV Driveshaft from Rugged Ridge. A new JK Wrangler is equipped with Rzeppa CV joints that are similar to those you'll find in FWD cars. While they're fine for cars, and even factory Jeeps, if you add larger tires or drive in off-road conditions, you'll quickly learn the standard joints are not up to the task. Rugged Ridge has solved this problem with this incredible driveshaft.

Construction. This driveshaft is a double cardan joint drive, which offers optimal strength and operation angle compared to other drive shafts. This drive shaft also has improved tube thickness and standard slip yokes to ensure they're simple to install and will last for many years to come. They are a direct bolt-on installation project, and attach right to the stock axles and transfer case. There is no need for any modifications or drilling. These U-joints are Spicer brand, and the driveshaft is covered by Rugged Ridge's 5-year limited warranty.

Application. This Rugged Ridge Front CV Driveshaft fits 2007-2018 Wrangler JK 4-door models.

      Don't buy

You can get a better driveshaft for your Money. Pro: it was easy to install.. However it became unbalanced and cracked at the joint. Too much play in driveshaft. Had it installed an ran 45,000 miles on it. Now needs a complete rebuilt. Not as heavy duty as advertised!

      Don't waste your money

I got this and I was really disappointed. I was expecting heavy duty 1350 u-joints as described in the product info. Yes it comes with 1350 u-joints but supper super puny 1350 u-joints. They are about 35 thinner than the stock U-joints. In it's normal operation position it's about 90 extended. It only has 4" of extension and it's at about 3.5" of extension at normal driving height. I did get a free extreme terrain shirt so that was cool!

      One tiny problem

This was as easy as the rear to install, but there was a bent bolt in the kit. I was able to get a replacement from a parts store so it wasn't too big of a deal. Just annoying, would've taken 1 hour or so but I had to wait for a new bolt.

      Solid driveshaft

Took me a little while to get it installed, but works great! I wish there were some instructions, but I found a site online that had step by step pictures and instructions.
