I'm Ryan from ExtremeTerrain.com and this is my review of the Rugged Ridge Grille Inserts. These are available in both black and a chrome finish. And they'll fit all 2007 to 2016 JKs, except it's important to remember that they will not fit on the 2016 Sahara or Special Edition Jeeps. Jeep did change the grille a little bit and these will not fit. Now, unlike some other grille inserts that have a wire mesh or vertical slats that can provide some protection to your radiator, these are strictly visual. These are not functional at all. And that's okay. They do a good job at what they're designed to do, which is to change up the look of the front of your Jeep.So if you're looking for an inexpensive, really easy to install mod that will make your Jeep look a little different from all the other ones that rolled off the assembly line, this is a nice option. Both the black and chrome version of these inserts are built from a UV treated plastic, which means they're not gonna fade or crack over time. In fact, Rugged Ridge provides you with a five-year warranty on these grille inserts. Because of the way these are designed to install, which is to clip into place, they have to fit well or they wouldn't install at all. They'd just fall back out. And Rugged Ridge has done a really nice job with the fitment as well. These look like they could have come as a factory option right from Jeep.As I said, these are designed to just snap into place, and I can't think of a mod I've done to a Jeep that installs any easier than these do. You just walk up to the Jeep, make sure you have the side of the insert with the two tabs facing toward the bottom, and you push it into place. You don't even need to remove the grill to get these installed. There's no tape, there's no drilling, there's no bolts. They literally just snap into place. The whole installation will take you less than 10 minutes and you won't need any tools at all.So depending on what you want out of your Jeep and the direction you're going with your build, you may have money in your budget for a strictly visual mod, or you might be saving those dollars for something that adds a little bit of function. If you are somebody who's just looking to restyle the front of your Jeep, I would recommend going with these grille inserts, even over some of the other options on the market. I think they're priced fairly, they fit really well, and they're made of a high quality material, so you know they're gonna hold up really well over time.So that's my review of the Rugged Ridge Grille Insert Kit, fitting all 2007 to 2016 JKs that you can find right here, at ExtremeTerrain.com.
