How to Install Omix-ADA 3-Point Tri-Lock Off Road Seat Belt - Driver Side (97-02 Wrangler TJ) on your Jeep Wrangler

  • 1/2" Socket
  • T50 Star Bit
  • T50 Tamper-Proof Star Bit
  • 5/8" Wrench
  • 5/8" Socket
  • Anti-Seize Lubricant

1. Remove the passenger side seat.  (3 - 1/2"    1 - T50) 



2. At the lowest part of the roll bar located just to the outside of where the seat is located.  Remove the T50 star bolt.  
 


3. The seat belt assembly will have to be slightly pull up to remove the latch style.


4. Remove the T50 tamper proof star bolt from the upper seat belt. Located on the roll bar.  
 


5. Remove the plastic cover from the new Omix-ADA 3-Point Tri-Lock Off Road Seat Belt upper mounting point.  
 


6. Reusing the factory T50 tamper proof star bolt install the upper mounting assembly. 


7. After installing the factory bolt, reinstall the new plastic cover.  


8. Using the factory T50 bolt locate the lower mounting point.  
 


9. Close the plastic flap, protecting the lower seat belt mechanism.  


10. Remove the T50 star bolt from the lower seat assembly


11. Using a 5/8 wrench and 5/8 socket tighten the provided hardware onto the new lower seat belt latch receiver mounting arm. 


12. Locate the new lower seat belt latch receiver onto the lower seat assembly with the factory T50 star bolt.  
 


13. The new Omix-ADA 3-Point Tri-Lock Off Road Seat Belt WILL NOT RETAIN the factory seat belt switch.  So the seat belt light on the instrument cluster will stay on.   
 
 


14. Based on the below factory wiring diagram.  The two wires used for the SEAT BELT SWITCH, should spliced together to eliminate the instrument cluster light.  

**This did not work on my Jeep, but I have provided the information.  
 



15. Reinstall the seat.  (3 - 1/2"    1 - T50)



16. The new lower seat belt latch receiver height comparted to factory. 


Installation Complete !
