Why would these brackets not fit on a 2005 Wrangler? What's the big differences?

    • The Rough Trail Mirror Relocation Brackets will not fit the OEM mirrors for 2003-2006 Wranglers. The brackets themselves will physically fit the vehicle.

Great product but dependent upon where you live.

The brackets were easy to install; holes lined up perfectly and mirror was easy enough to install. As many have stated, you cannot see out of the passenger mirror once you put your half door window and/or door back on the vehicle. I lived in the rust belt and cannot keep my doors off all year, but if I lived in an area that i was able, these brackets would be perfect.

Great price. Perfect fit and only one tool needed. Couldn't be easier to install. Fits preexisting holes.

      install was a little tricky

product is great, but there are a few notes. the torx bolt that holds the old mirror bracket to the door is near impossible to get off. you will need to hold a blow torch (or other small flame device) on the torx bolt for 20 seconds before trying to loosen. just point the flame directly into the center, there are tons of you tube videos on how to do this. mirrors will flop around unless you tighten from below.

      Straight-forward does the job!

Easy install and does the job at a low cost. Only drawback is the limited passenger side viewing angle (see all the other reviews). tried to post a pic of the actual view from the driver seat (with the doors on) but ET blocks it :(

      Quick install nice looking

Had them on in less than 5 minutes. Solid mounts. Mirrors now sit a bit further forward, but that's to be expected.

      Mirror relocation bracket

They work great. Wish the passenger side was mounted further rearward. Can see with doors off but may have to mount back on door when they are on

Had to modify so the mirror would fit

My mirrors would not fit because my mirrors had a spring stop notches at the base of the mirror. It was an easy fix I had to cut two parallel grooves on the head of the mount, grind them to a v shape and repaint. They fit ok now but it was a bit disappointing that I couldn't just bolt and go. In the future I may cut 2 more grooves to lock the mirrors in against the vehicle as well as lock them in a driving position. All in all it is a good product. constructed with good heavy steel and they allow me to keep my factory mirrors when I take the doors off. Just wish I could bolt and go.

      Perfect Fit

I think these things actually put the mirror at a better angle than the stock mount with the doors on.

      DIDN'T FIT!

UNFORTUNATELY, IN MY CASE, THE BRACKETS WERE USELESS BECAUSE I HAVE THE ROOF RACK, ALSO PURCHASED FROM EXTREME TERRAIN, WHICH USES THE SAME MOUNTING LOCATION. BUT, I MUST SAY, THE QUALITY WAS EXCELLENT AND I WOULD HAVE MUCH PREFERRED TO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO USE MY STOCK MIRRORS. INSTEAD, I HAD TO PURCHASE ANOTHER SET OF BRACKETS WITH MIRRORS AND THAT'S ANOTHER STORY THAT I WILL TALK ABOUT WHEN I REVEIW THEM!!

      Pretty good product

The idea concept and product was outstanding. Solid product. I used my factory mirrors and mounted them on the brackets. Pretty easy. Had to do some minor deconstruction on the mirrors with a hammer but went well. I only wish the mounts came with nylon or rubber washers to because the mirrors have an uneven bitten to them and I wish the mounts came with additional black bolts. The bottem bolts out of the Jeep itself were slightly too short so I had to purchase additional bolts after researching on line the bolts.

      Great product!

Does what its supposed to. I recommend when you have your doors on that you give your straps a couple twists to keep the doors from opening as wide. Otherwise your doors will move your mirrors and youll have to readjust for every trip.

      Mirror relocation on my 2002

Weather here in Arizona is now cool enough to remove the doors. I had a different mirror that I used for several years when taking the doors off, but was never happy with them. They would vibrate to the point of being useless. I got these and have been extremely happy with them. Took me a total of 15 minutes to get them mounted. Took longer to get the mirrors off the door brackets. No vibration, rock steady at freeway speeds.

      did exactly what i wanted

These brackets are well made and do exactly what i wanted. They didn't come with longer bolts to mount with but after spending a dollar at the hardware store. They're perfect.
