    1 Top Rated Question

I'm considering this kit for my '16 wrangler jk. Wondering if I need to order either front or rear track bars as well. Other kits include brackets and this one doesn't. Will this kit need them?

    • For this 2.5" lift kit it is recommended to purchase an adjustable front track bar to align the front axle. This would help to avoid any death wobble.

Great quality for a great price.

Great lift for the price. Easy to install (maybe 2 hours). Shocks do not come with this kit, just shock extensions. I will be adding the appropriate length shocks soon.

      Just Perfect

I got me exactly what I was looking for, but because of the bigger and heavier tires now I definitely have to get the new shocks

Great lift! Very happy with my purchase. Easy to install and definitely sits taller. The ride is also more smooth. Great lift

Installed with Bilstein 5100 shocks on '16 JKU. Gained closer to 3". With 315/70r17 BFG gained 6" total difference in fender height. 2.5 hours to install. (Not first time installing lift)

      Cool vs spacer kit

I installed a spacer kit to see if I liked the height. And I did. But don't like the ride with the stock coils. So I replaced them with a full coil lift and wow. With a full coil lift compared to a spacer kit. Much improvement handles and rides a lot more comfortable. Improvement on the handling, doesn't feel too heavy, with the spacer kit it did

      Worth the extra money!!!

Built to last! It worth the extra money in the long run. If your planning to get aftermarket bumpers, winches, and armor!

Looks and Rides like a Jeep Should

The RC 2.5" coil lift with shock extensions (using factory shocks, will upgrade later) is a good bargain for the entry level enthusiast (5 Stars). I got the lift kit, front sway bar quick-disconnects, and 1.5" aluminum wheel spacers/adapters, because RC recommended them with this kit. Turns out I really didn't need them, but they do give the Jeep a tougher appearance/stance in combination with the lift kit (4Stars). Just make sure you use the red Loc-tite they include with them and torque everything properly. I worked alone, except for having a buddy push the axles down to get the springs in/out. Taking my time to be sure everything was right, installation for all components listed took about 6 hours. I didn't think that was too bad since I was using a jack and stands. The front was harder than the rear. None of it was really hard, the instructions were adequate. After install I had the vehicle aligned, per RC recommendation. I don't think I really needed it, because it drove exactly as it did before, but at least I know it's right and in spec. With the new lift installed, the ride (4 Stars) seemed actually a little softer than the stock springs. I like it. The steering effort seemed to increase a tiny bit due due to the wider track caused by the wheel spacers/adapters, during slow speed turning, but maybe that's just me... Off road you tell things will be different on the trails. Not so much scuffing and scraping going on underneath (4 Stars), but you have to keep your head about it, after all it's only 2.5". All things considered, the RC 2.5" lift kit with shock extensions is a solid value, easy install for the DIYer, and gives the look and ride that feels like a Jeep should. AMP71

      2.5 inch lift

Installed this lift as a temporary lift until I finish building the big one. Was very surprised at the amount of articulation I got with such a small lift. Very impressed with the quality of the lift as well as the ease of installation. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get lift for a lot less money than what most other lifts cost. I'm running 35s with plenty of clearance.

      Fantastic Look

I installed the rough country 2.5" lift in my driveway in about 3 hours. Very few tools needed directions are extremely simple to follow. Same amount of work as the budget rubber stops. Gives the JK an awesome look & improved ride over the stock springs.
