Hi, guys. So today, we're checking out the RedRock 4X4 21-Inch Trail Antenna, fitting all 1997 to 2020 TJ, JK, and JL Wranglers. So little mods added to your Wrangler can definitely make a difference, and this trail antenna by RedRock 4X4 is going to do just that. Now, this is gonna replace your factory antenna with something that's going to be a little bit shorter, and it's going to be a little bit more attractive, considering that this gives the side of the JL a sporty look. Now, your factory antenna is pretty long. It's also made of a metal material. So whenever it bounces back, whether that be by a branch on the trail, or while it's in the carwash, it can hit the paint, it can hit the windshield and it can just be downright annoying. Now, with this option, this is gonna have a durable rubber coating on it, so it will be able to stand up to whatever gets thrown at it. If you are on the trail and a branch takes a hit to this, this will bounce right back because it is a little bit flexible and resilient. Now, not to mention, this is gonna be one of the taller choices or the longer choices for antennas and that's gonna make sure that your radio reception is not compromised at all, which is great if you don't necessarily live near the city and you don't want to stop using your radio or have any funky connections with that. This is going to do a great job with that. Now, as far as pricing is concerned, this is gonna come in at roughly $20, making this an incredibly affordable and very easy mod to do to your Wrangler. Now, some other options on the page are usually just going to differ in the length and some may have a little bit of a different style. Again, this is going to be one of the longer options between the antennas on the page. Again, perfect for somebody who doesn't necessarily live close to the city but still wants that radio reception and also is not really a fan of the shorter antennas. Now, some may have 15 inches in length, some may be 6, and some other options may include a design like a 50-cal bullet design. Now, again, if you are a fan of the longer design and you're also looking for something that's going to be durable and just an easy mod to add to your Wrangler, this is going to be it.Now, as far as install is concerned, as you can probably assume, this is going to be very easy to install on your Wrangler. I'm gonna give it a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. You're gonna need one tool to get the job done. So speaking of that install, let's jump into that now.The tool that I used for my install was a 10-millimeter wrench. So, in order to take our antenna off, you're gonna need a 10-millimeter wrench. Then we can go ahead and put that around the base of our antenna and just crack it free. Once you've loosened it up, you should be able to twist it off by hand and we can put this to the side. And that is how we take off our factory antenna. Then we can grab our new one here, and this is just gonna thread into the base just like our factory antenna did. You can give it a good tightening by hand, and then you're all set to go.So that's gonna wrap it up from my review and install.
