Off Road Snorkel. Enhance the all-weather, off-road performance of your Wrangler by installing a Snorkel from RedRock 4x4. This Snorkel will relocate your Wrangler's air intake from the low and vulnerable position under the hood to a higher, safer location above the windshield. You'll have access to cooler, denser air to create more power without the fear of hydro-locking your engine when crossing rivers or mudding.

Durable Construction. Manufactured from roto-molded acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), this RedRock 4x4 Snorkel can handle the bumps and abuse of daily and off-road driving. ABS is an extremely strong material known for its light-weight and superior durability - making it ideal for use on Jeep Wranglers. Every component in this kit is specifically designed for maximum dust and water sealing which significantly decreases the risk of engine damage during water crossings.

Cutting Required for Installation. Installation of this RedRock 4x4 Snorkel is relatively straight forward. However, it should be noted that cutting a hole in your Jeeps passenger side lower fender will be required for installation. Cutting templates, instructions and installation hardware are all included.

Application. This RedRock 4x4 Snorkel is specifically designed for use on 2000-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ models equipped with the 4.0L engine.

            Must have.

Common to popular believe Snorkels are not only good for water crossings but also to lower air temps coming into the air intake and keeping the air cleaner. I have use my jeep in all sorts of terrain from mud, desert to the Alaskan back country and it has been all positives. it is sturdy and well constructed I have taken many branches in tight trails and it holds fine. I have had mine since 2006.

            Scrapped it

I really wanted this to work and was so excited about the bargain price. I’m a DIY girl with an an $87.00 2004 rubicon. (Awesome, right? Lol) Sadly, after modifying the air box, and removing the battery I realized there’s no easy way to run the hose without more cutting or running it down then up (counterproductive). I’m glad I hadn’t cut into the fender yet. Ordered a new air box, removed the template, closed the hood and swallowed my pride. 2 hours and $200 later, I cut my losses.

Good kit at a good price. Be careful with the fender template and make sure it is placed correctly before drilling. The instructions could have been better, but wasnt too hard to figure out.

I went mudding before I had the snorkel and ended up with mud and dirt in my air filter and box. The install was fairly straight forward. It looks great and performs well for the price.

Very cool. Snorkel is perfect! Very pleased. I lil scary to cut a 3" hole in render at first, but I think it turned out very well. Would defenently recommend. About 2-3 hrs to install.

            Not the best fit

The kit seems to be pretty complete. However installed as the directions state, you can not utilize any mirror relocation brackets if your running with your doors off. And mounted the Snorkel the way it is recommend to be installed, does not allow for the removal of the doors after installation. One previous review correctly stated the same issue.

            Pretty good.

I haven't used the snorkel for the purpose of it, it's mainly for looks. It's a good buy and looks great. Although you do have to take a couple bolts out if you want to take the door off and you have to move your side mirror to the door because the snorkel covers up the bracket.

            05 Jeep wranger snorkel install

This product looks great and functions perfectly. Harder to install than instructions advise. More grinding and cutting that expected as the tube doesn't fit in the template. However, overall this is a great product and with decent experience anyone can install in an afternoon and be mudding later in the evening!
