      Description

Off Road Snorkel. Enhance the all-weather, off-road performance of your Wrangler by installing a Snorkel from RedRock 4x4. This Snorkel will relocate your Wrangler's air intake from the low and vulnerable position under the hood to a higher, safer location above the windshield. You'll have access to cooler, denser air to create more power without the fear of hydro-locking your engine when crossing rivers or mudding.

Durable Construction. Manufactured from roto-molded acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), this RedRock 4x4 Snorkel can handle the bumps and abuse of daily and off-road driving. ABS is an extremely strong material known for its light-weight and superior durability - making it ideal for use on Jeep Wranglers. Every component in this kit is specifically designed for maximum dust and water sealing which significantly decreases the risk of engine damage during water crossings.

Cutting Required for Installation. Installation of this RedRock 4x4 Snorkel is relatively straight forward. However, it should be noted that cutting a hole in your Jeeps passenger side lower fender will be required for installation. Cutting templates, instructions and installation hardware are all included.

Application. This RedRock 4x4 Snorkel is specifically designed for use on 2000-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ models equipped with the 4.0L engine.

        3 2000 Wrangler - BradC

        Not to happy with instructions

The snorkel kit is great for the price. The product is good quality. But I can’t say that for the instructions mostly the pattern for the out line for the cut out on the fender of the Jeep the hole was to small and that puts the bolt holes off to the hole should be oval and 3 and1/4 inches instead of just 3 inches

        1 2006 Wrangler - Tucture

        Wont fit my TJ

There is a bracket behind my fender preventing the installation of the air hose. Now I'm stuck with it.

        2 2000 Wrangler - N8ck Installation Time: Full Day

        Snorkel

This snorkel was missing several parts. If your ok at fabricating some of your own parts including using pvc instead of the junk flex pipe they send you it's fine. Cheep for what you get. If your expecting a perfect installation this is not the kit for you. The out side pipe works good but everything else is cheesy good luck also for the price you get what you pay for

5 2004 Rubicon - RoyM Installation Time: Weekend Installation Cost: $100-$250

        Must have.

Common to popular believe Snorkels are not only good for water crossings but also to lower air temps coming into the air intake and keeping the air cleaner. I have use my jeep in all sorts of terrain from mud, desert to the Alaskan back country and it has been all positives. it is sturdy and well constructed I have taken many branches in tight trails and it holds fine. I have had mine since 2006.

2 2004 Rubicon - SarahM Installation Time: Afternoon

        Scrapped it

I really wanted this to work and was so excited about the bargain price. I’m a DIY girl with an an $87.00 2004 rubicon. (Awesome, right? Lol) Sadly, after modifying the air box, and removing the battery I realized there’s no easy way to run the hose without more cutting or running it down then up (counterproductive). I’m glad I hadn’t cut into the fender yet. Ordered a new air box, removed the template, closed the hood and swallowed my pride. 2 hours and $200 later, I cut my losses.
