Hey, guys. So, today, I'm here with the RedRock 4x4 OE Style Tail Light Guards, fitting all 2007 to 2018 JK Wranglers. So, these are going to be for the JK owner looking for small, effective mods that are really going to make a difference on their JK. These are going to provide you some protection while you're out on the trail from any brush or any branches that may smack up against your tail light, protecting that plastic lens. These are also going to give you a more aggressive and off-road feel to the rear end of your Wrangler, while staying sleek, considering these do sit pretty flush up against your tail light. They're also going to be very affordable at roughly $50, making this one of the most affordable options on the page. Now, other more expensive options, those are just going to have some more material to them. They may have a couple of more bars here to protect more of your tail light, or they may come in a couple of different finishes, like the ones that you see here, or in a stainless steel finish, and that can usually jump up that price. I do like the fact that these are very simplistic, though, and they do give a nice touch to the rear end of our JK here. So, install's going to be a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, guys. You're only going to need one tool and about 15 minutes' worth of your time to get the job done. So, speaking of the install, let's jump into that now.The tool that I used for my install was a Phillips head screwdriver. So, in order to put on our tail light guards, we will have to remove the four screws that are holding on the lens on our tail light, as well as holding on the whole tail light onto the back of our Jeep. You're going to need a Phillips head screwdriver in order to do so.So, these two outside screws are not connecting the tail light to the Jeep. The inside ones are. These are just holding on our lens here. So, after those four are removed, you don't actually want to remove your tail light. You can just grab your guard, and we can place that right over and reinstall those four screws. You also want to make sure that you're not over-tightening these because you could potentially crack the lens if you do. You just want to snug them up.Now we can do the same thing on the other side. So, before I go ahead and install this, I did want to tell you guys a little bit about it. So, this is going to be made of a durable aluminum, so if you do take a hit to the tail light, this is definitely going to stop it. It also has a nice satin black powder coat finish on it that's going to give you a really sleek look and more of an aggressive look to the rear end of your Wrangler. What I do really like about this is that it forms fit to the design of the actual tail light. This does curve around, so you are getting full protection, and you also get some little gaskets here, so the only part that's touching the tail light is protected. So, that metal is not going to rub up against your lens and potentially scratch it.So, now let's go ahead and take out these screws. So, I am just going to use RedRock hardware. RedRock does provide you with new screws to secure down your tail light guards. So, unfortunately, our factory hardware was too small and passed through our tail light guard on this side. So, if you are able to use your factory hardware, you definitely can, however, RedRock does provide you with new hardware. It's going to be a button-head Phillips head screw, so it will be a lot easier to secure down the guard. So, that's going to wrap it up for my quick review and install. Make sure you like it and subscribe, guys. And for more videos like this, keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.
