    Review & Install Video

Hey, guys. This is Sara from, and today we have a review and install of the RedRock 4x4 Trail 13-Inch Short Antenna, fitting your '07 through '18 Jeep Wrangler JKs. This antenna features a black, weather-resistant rubber coating and is 13 inches tall, which is a whopping 22 inches shorter than stock. So if you are one of the many Jeep owners who take your Jeep off-roading, and you're tired of getting your stock antenna caught in trees or bushes, this one will not snag because it is flexible in addition to being short. The only downside to an antenna like this one is that you will get a little bit less reception with it. So if you find yourself in a low-reception area to begin with, you may encounter some static. But if you're an XM radio user, this will not affect you.Coming in at around $25, this antenna is on par with other antennas of the same size, and this is a great budget-friendly way to add some form and function to your Jeep. I'm giving this install a very easy one out of three wrenches. It can be done in under five minutes, and does not require any tools. All right. With that said, let's see our install. All right. So the one and only step for our uninstall is to just grab your antenna towards the bottom here and twist it off. If, for some reason, this is on super tight, you can grab an adjustable and just get it started. But you shouldn't need any tools for this. Grab your new antenna and get it threaded in.All right. So that is gonna do it for the review and install of our RedRock 4x4 Short Antenna. Remember, for all things Jeep, keep it at

13" Low Profile Flexible Design. Get rid of that ugly 35” eye sore Chrysler calls an antenna, and replace it with a RedRock 4x4 low profile 13” short trail antenna. The low profile flexible design keeps the antenna from being bent by trees, unlike the factory 35" antenna.

    Quality Build and Finish.
The RedRock 4x4 13" short antenna comes in a satin-black rubber coated finish that is both scratch and weather resistant. The antenna fits like just like an OEM part, but gives you that sporty off road look.

Easy Install. Modding your Jeep Wrangler doesn't get any easier than this. Simply unscrew your old antenna and screw in the new one. It can be installed in under five minutes.

Application. This RedRock 4x4 13" Trail Short Antenna is designed to fit all 2007-2018 Jeep JK Wranglers, including the 2-door and 4-door models.

My 2017 Freedom Edition Oscar Mike has Nav in it. Will changing to this antenna effect the Navigation?

        • The RedRock 4x4 Trail 13 in. Short Antenna will only effect AM/FM reception. The Navigation and satellite radio will utilize a separate satellite antenna, mounted under the covers, atop the rollbar.

How much of a difference will this have on my AM/FM radio then with factory installed antenna?

        • This antenna will not make much of a difference with your AM/FM radio. If you already have a weak signal on some stations with the factory antenna then you would hear a bit more static with this one.

How is the fit with the JL Wrangler? Any differences from JK? Anyone with experience with JL? Thx

        • This antenna will fit the JL models just fine.

Will this work with Sirius XM or Only AM/FM?

        • Since your SXM antenna will be above your passenger head on the speaker roll bar this will have no effect on SXM reception.

I have a 2015 JK and purchased this antenna I haven't even taken it out of the package but the screw in part is way bigger than my current antenna and I'm not even going to attempt to screw it in because you can clearly see it won't fit from the package. I though this for 07-current jeeps. Am I missing something? 1 answer

            3 2019 Wrangler - Jeepgrl77 Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

            Poor reception

Bought this antenna as I wanted something smaller and more stylish than the factory one that comes with the jeep. Loved the way it looked and it was very easy to install however the reception in my area was terrible. All the normal stations I listen to were staticky. Ended up putting the original one back on. Hope they come out with something better.

            Great on the trail

I barely see the thing when driving, works well. No loss in quality, doesn't get thrashed around like the stock antenna.

            Sporty and sturdy!

This antenna is so much better than the long antenna with which I replaced it. It’s sturdy, and much sportier. Makes my Jeep look better! Service and shipping with ET were excellent.

Looks good, works... not so good

I should have been suspicious when it showed up in a plain white package with no logo. It looked really good on the Jeep, but the FM reception was poor. Every time I passed by a building that created a "shadow" between me at the FM transmitter the volume changed.

            Decent antenna

The antenna is easy to install and looks great. However, radio reception is pretty poor in areas where it used to be better. Trade off I guess.

Looks Great! And no paint chips.

This Antana looks great on the Jeep. You do comprise reception but if you off road in tight trails it completely eliminates paint chips cause by the stock Antana. Must have if you wheel in overgrown trails!
