    Review & Install Video

Hey guys, I'm Ryan from Extreme Terrain and this is my review of the RedRock 4x4 Dual Outlet Axle Back Exhaust that fits all 2007 to 2016 Jeep JKs, both 2-door and 4-door. As you can see, the system is offered in both black and stainless finishes. This is a great exhaust for those of you who spend most of the time on the road or on light trails without a lot of tail-pipe crushing obstacles. For those of you who spend more time on the rocks, you want to look at our high-clearance exhaust systems that tuck everything up and out of the way. When you're shopping for an axle back exhaust for your Jeep, you're really looking at three factors, one being sound, of course, the second being build quality, and the third being the looks. Now, no axle back is going to provide huge power gains to your JK. The exhaust is not the most restrictive part of the system, so opening it up isn't going to give you a ton more power. And unfortunately, no axle back is going to make your V6 sound like a V8. That being said, this exhaust will give you a nice low note. You'll definitely notice more of a growl, especially during the higher RPM band when you get into the throttle getting onto an on-ramp, for instance. I give it about a two out of five on loudness. You'll get a little bit more sound, but you'll definitely notice the lower note. And when it comes to the quality of the construction, these are really solid, especially for a budget system. They don't sound tinny. They've got a nice heavy weight to them. The welds are consistent, they look really strong. And the finish is great in both black and in stainless. They use the same 409 stainless material as some of the most expensive systems, so they should hold up for you in the long run. And if you were to have any problems in the first three years, RedRock 4x4 offers a three-year warranty. And finally, visually, the systems look great. You get the dual outlet exhaust that gives your Jeep a tough look, and you get to choose between either the stainless with the polished tips, or the black to really customize the look of your rig. The install for this system could not be any easier. You need one wrench to loosen and re-tighten three different bolts, and it uses all the factory hangers. On a scale of one to five, this is definitely a one. You can probably get this done in less than an hour with normal hand tools. You don't even need to call a friend for an extra set of hands. Now if you want to see what other people are saying about this exhaust system, make sure you check out the customer-submitted reviews on the website. And if you're having trouble deciding between black or stainless, there are tons of customer-submitted pictures. So for you guys that are staying on the road or on the light trails and want that nice low exhaust note and a custom look, this is the perfect system for you. It's really well-built for the budget, and shares a lot of features with the more expensive systems that we offer. So that's my review of the RedRock 4x4 Dual Outlet Axle Back Exhaust. For more reviews, check out extremeterrain.com. In the meantime, I'm Ryan, thanks for watching.

Review from RedRock 4x4 Dual Outlet Axle-Back Exhaust w/ Polished Tips (07-18 Wrangler JK)

      Exceeded expectations

As soon as I could get the oem muffler out of the hangers this new one went in as easy as it possibly could have. Not only does it sound better in person than I expected, it looks and fits amazing. Nice low rumble/growl when accelerating and gets throaty but with no drone as you get up into the 3.5-5k rpm range. First purchase (finally) from XT and will not be my last.

      Happy with my purchase

Very pleased with this exhaust. I’ve only driven about 15 to 20 miles since I installed it but I can tell it helped with the power and response. It also has a nice sound to it, not to loud but loud enough to notice. Very simple to put on. 20 minutes max

      Just what I wanted

For the price I don't think I could have done any better. They aim a little more down than the old ones but looks good to me.I can't say anything bad about it as a whole.

Review from RedRock 4x4 Dual Outlet Axle-Back Exhaust w/ Polished Tips (07-18 Wrangler JK)

      As advertised

The product was in good condition and installed easily...once the old one that had been through 9 Ohio winter's had been removed. Directions were straight forward and all hardware was included. Love the new lower sound on my old (167k miles) girl! I've had it on for about a week now, and it did have some drone early, but after a couple of heat cycles, and some retightening of clamps, that seems to have disappeared. Very pleased.

No need to spend more. GREAT quality.

I bought this one because the more expensive one I wanted was on 8 week back order. I could not be more happy. The stainless steel fabrication is excellent, the look is excellent and the sound is perfect. Deep and guttural but not obnoxious. Plus it’s easy to install. I highly recommend this exhaust system.

      RedRock Dual exhaust

Arived on time and complete. Removal of existing exhaust and installation of RedRock dual took approx 45 min. I used a ball joint removal fork on the rubber hangers, worked slick. Sound is throaty with windows down, can barely hear it with them up, which is great. No freeway harmonics..2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara, 6000 miles on rig.

Review from RedRock 4x4 Dual Outlet Axle-Back Exhaust w/ Polished Tips (07-18 Wrangler JK)

      Great bang for your buck.

I was originally going to purchase the same one in black, but it was on backorder. I purchased this one instead (actually a little cheaper). Couldn’t be happier. Tone is definitely more throaty and deeper. Nothing extremely loud or anything, but a nice, subtle aggressive sound. Between that and the RedRock 4x4 CAI, I definitely notice a difference in acceleration and overall sound. Mpg went up a little too. I ended up just getting some Rust-Oleum high heat 500 degree enamel spray paint and doing a few coats. Looks great, sounds great. Very satisfied with my purchase. Installation was a breeze. Only difficulty was getting the stock hangers dislodged.

      Its Ok

It does its job. You can tell the difference compared to the stock pipes. Not as loud as i wanted it to be . Install was easy about .5 hrs. I feel it reduced some throttle power. Looking to get a cold air intake.

      Just the right

This muffler provides a decent sound without being obnoxious. When you step on it, it makes some noise but not too much and it’s fairly toned down when at cruise speed. It fit pretty well, just had to bend the heat shield up at the back because it rattled against the muffler some. no big deal as the heat shield appears to be made from heavy aluminum foil and bent out of the way easily. I left the 2 exhaust tips off and it looks good and tucked up out of the way without them. I think the tips would get smashed against bumper if you had an extreme departure angle off-road.
