Hey guys. So today I'm here with the RedRock 4x4 Avenger full-width front bumper fitting all 2007 to 2018 JK Wranglers. So upgrading your front bumper can do a number of different things for your Wrangler. First off, it's gonna give you a very aggressive and different look than what you're used to with your factory front bumper. Now a lot of aftermarket front bumpers come with a number of different benefits and this one by RedRock is gonna do just that by offering you full front end protection and a couple of little add-ons. Now you are getting grille protection with your bull bar here. You're getting some recovery points as well as some light mounting options so you can really add onto this down the line. So this is gonna be for somebody who's looking to keep the option of swapping over their factory fog lights but doesn't necessarily need all of the bells and whistles, for example a winch plate. This is gonna be one of those aftermarket front bumpers that doesn't come with those. However, there are cutouts so if you want to upgrade up the line you definitely have that option too. So this is gonna be roughly $400 making this a very affordable option for a front bumper of this size. So less expensive options are just gonna be a little bit smaller because of the less materials used. So you'll usually see that lower price point with mid width or stubby front bumpers and then more expensive options are just gonna have those different bells and whistles that you're not seeing here. So they may come with additional lighting instead of the option to swap over your factory fog light, they may have LED light bars or LED cube pods integrated inside the bumper and they may just come with a winch plate to mount up a winch. Now, this is for somebody who's looking to keep it pretty simple, however, they still want those couple of add-ons on their front bumper and something that meshes well giving the front end of their JK some really nice form. So install is gonna be a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. You're gonna need a couple of hand tools and about two hours worth of your time to get the job done. So speaking of the install, let's jump into that now. The tools that I used for my install were a 3/8-inch drive ratchet, quarter inch drive ratchet, a 10-millimeter open-ended wrench, a 16-millimeter, 18-millimeter, and 14-millimeter deep socket, a three-inch extension, a 10-millimeter shallow socket, and the provided Allen Key. So in order to uninstall your front bumper, you're gonna need an 18-millimeter deep socket and a ratchet. But first thing we need to do is unplug our fog light harnesses and then we can head underneath our Jeep. So you're gonna have four studs on the bumper holding it onto your frame rail. We're gonna remove the two nuts on either side and then we're just gonna repeat that process. So I'm gonna use that 18-millimeter socket and a small extension with my ratchet and we're just going to remove those. Now we can do the same thing on the other three sets of studs. So if you have a 2012 and newer Wrangler with a 3.6-liter V6 there is a vacuum pump right here. I would not recommend to use the extension here just because it's not going to fit. So I'm just going to take that extension out and we can go ahead and repeat that same process. So now we can go ahead and remove our front bumper. So now with an eight-millimeter socket, we can go ahead and remove our fog lights are gonna be held on by four screws on either fog light. So before we can install our bumper we do have to do a bit of assembly so we are going to swap over our factory fog lights. Now this does not come with hardware in order to do so so you will need to outsource. So you're gonna need some nuts, bolts, flat washers, and lock washers in order to do that but once you have that we can just place them down in and they will line up with our front bumper here. However, since your factory hardware is screws that screw into a plastic trim piece we won't be able to reuse these here. So I'm just going to take our bolt, place that through, attach a flat washer and lock washer and a nut on the back of that. Try not to overtighten them, you don't want to damage the plastic. So now we can go ahead and attach our bull bar with our provided button-head bolt. Now you're gonna have two sets of washers to go with these. These smaller ones will go on top with the bolt head and then the larger ones will go underneath with the nut. So we're just going to line this up, place this on top. Now it may be a little bit difficult to do this by yourself. So what you can do is just prop the other side up then we can attach one of the bolts on either side and then we'll be able to attach the rest very easily. Now that both sides are attached we can just let that go and then attach the rest. Now we can do the same thing on the other side. So once those are attached we can go ahead and tighten them down with the provided Allen key as well as a 14-millimeter deep socket. So now that our bumper is all together I wanted to show you guys a quick side by side next to your factory bumper before we go ahead and bolt up this one. So right off the bat, you can tell that these are the same size. However, this one's gonna be a lot more durable than the factory plastic. This is made of a heavy-duty steel and it has a textured black powder coat finish on it to resist any rust or corrosion on the actual metal underneath but it's also gonna help in giving you an aggressive and off-road look. So this is going to be able to take a hit a lot better than the factory plastic but it's also gonna offer you a number of different benefits. So first off you can tell that these are the same length but these have angled ends. This is going to help you out with approach angles on the trail and it's also gonna help you out with larger wheels and tires. You also are getting a couple of different things on the front. You are getting two-welded D-ring mounts and this does come with D-rings. Those are gonna be a very nice recovery point on the front of your Wrangler as well as a lot safer than your factory tow hooks. Now you are able to swap over your factory fog lights and you also are getting two additional light mounting points on your bull bar here if you want to mount up any accessory lighting. So speaking of that bull bar that's going to provide you some extra front end protection that your stock front bumper is unable to give you and it's gonna give you a little bit more protection to your grill that you're used to seeing on the front of your JK. Now last but not least I would like to mention that this does not come with a winch plate like a lot of other aftermarket front bumpers do come with. However, there are cutouts there if you were looking to upgrade to that in the future. So enough about our two bumpers side by side, let's go bolt up our new one. So now we can go ahead and mount up our front bumper. Use your legs. So after we have our studs through our frame horns we're gonna go ahead and attach our provided hardware. Now, this may be a little bit difficult to see because there is extra gusseting for reinforcement on each side of the frame horn. That is gonna help out with the durability of the bumper but you may not be able to see what exactly I'm doing right now. However, it is the same exact process of taking the bumper off. So it's going to be a similar design to your factory front bumper. Now it's gonna go flat washer, lock washer, and the nut and then we can snug those up, we're not going to tighten anything down just yet but we can snug them up with a 16-millimeter deep socket. All right. Now we can attach all the rest of the hardware. Now we can move to the inside of the frame horn. So now because both sides are attached we can just go ahead and tighten these down with our 16-millimeter deep socket. Now we did snug these up before but we want to make sure that they are completely tight. After all of your hardware is tightened down you can plug in your fog lights and then you're all set to go. So that's going to wrap it up for my review and install. Make sure you like and subscribe. And for more videos like this, keep it right here at extremeterraindot.com.
