      Review & Installation Video

Hey, guys, it's Sara from and today we have a review and install of the RedRock 4x4 3-inch Round Curve Side Step Bars, fitting your '07 through '18 four-door Jeep Wrangler JKs. These steps are constructed from 3-inch tubular steel with a textured black powder coat finish. They also include these non-slip step pads for access to your Jeep in all weather. So, if you spend a lot of time offering with your Jeep ease might not be the way to go. They're not gonna provide as much protection as a rock slider would and they're also gonna decrease your ground clearance. However, if you're an occasional off-roader or you're just looking to add some steps your Jeep, especially if it's lifted, these are an excellent choice. Coming in at around $140 these are the most budget-friendly option in side steps you can choose for your Jeep. I'm giving this install a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, it can be done in approximately two hours and features a direct bolt up installation. All right, let's hop right into our install. For this install you will need 3/8 drive ratchet, 10-millimeter wrench, the included Allen key, 13-millimeter socket, an optional but helpful tool is an impact gun. All right, we're gonna start with the front-most bracket around the driver side of the Jeep. So, just double check that it's stamped with the proper bracket, driver front, and grab your medium hardware with a lock washer and a washer and thread it up into the Jeep. Now, if your Jeep does not have threaded holes, you will wanna grab a nut plate and thread into that. All right. Also, make sure this part of the bracket is on the inside of your pinch weld and grab the small Allen head hardware with a washer on either side and get these in place. Grab a 13-millimeter socket and tighten down the bolt holding your bracket to the bottom of the Jeep. Now, you're gonna tighten this down with the included Allen key and we're gonna use a 10-millimeter ratcheting wrench on the nut side. Now we're gonna move on to the center bracket on our driver side. Go ahead and thread the medium size bolt in here, make sure you have a lock washer and a washer. We're gonna leave it a little bit loose so that we can line up our two smaller bolts into the pinch weld. Grab your 13-millimeter socket and tighten down the bracket to the bottom of your Jeep. Grab the included Allen key and a 10-millimeter ratcheting wrench and tighten down the smaller hardware to the pinch weld. Repeat that process with a bracket at the back of your Jeep. Grab your 13-millimeter socket and tighten down the bracket to the bottom of your Jeep. Grab your included Allen key and 10-mil ratcheting wrench and tighten down the rest of the hardware. All right. With our brackets in place, we can now place the step on top of them and get the bolt in the bottom. Grab the provided hardware that's designated for the step and thread it in through the bottom of the bracket. We're just gonna get it started to make sure all of our holes line up before we tighten them down. With all your bolts threaded in, grab a 13-millimeter socket and tighten them down. All right. So, that is gonna do it for the review and install of our RedRock 4x4 Side Steps. Remember for all things Jeep keep it at

        4 2016 Wrangler - JohnS

        Nice Steps

THese steps are very nice. It's important to understand that the directions are terrible and that each bracket is stamped with where it goes. The directions don't tell you that and I didn't see it for a while.

        4 2018 Wrangler - Karen

        Worth the money

They look pretty good for the price. Didn't line up perfectly on the '18 JK, but other than that, I like them.

        3 2015 Wrangler - ISOSteve

        Arrived Damaged

Had these not arrived damaged they would have been great value for the money. Our Jeep has larger tires which lifts it a couple of inches and I should have taken that into account when selecting running boards.

        4 2007 Wrangler - DDwyer

Look Great on 2007 4dr JK

They look great installed. The instructions good be better, they are hard to read bandw pictures. But it’s straight forward once you figure it out. There are three support arms per side. They mount with one bolt to frame and two bolts to the body. I had all holes on the body, but The only problem I ran into is there was no hole on my frame for the rear support. Don’t know if that’s a 2007 thing or just my JK. Might want to check to see if you have a corresponding frame hole near the two body holes. I took my rails to a shop and they mounted them by drilling a hole in the frame. They look great.

5 2018 Wrangler - KatieJ Installation Time: Afternoon

        Good Value

I had some issues installing because they kept tightening on crooked but once I was able to get another pair of hands on it, installation was simple. Very sturdy and low profile.

        5 2015 Wrangler - Wiggledbits

        Great Value

Look good, seem to have a good finish that should last, solid when I stand on them. They took a little over an hour to install by myself. I would have shaved 15 minutes if I hadn't been too lazy to go get the ratch allen head socket for the mounting brackets. Got them fast and at a decent price.
