    Practical Protection. Guarding the floorboard mounted plastic evaporative canister on the undercarriage of your 2007-2018 Wrangler is a task the Poison Spyder Evap Skid Plate excels at, putting 3/16-inch plate steel between this crucial component and the trail's many hazards. This Evap Skid has a ramp shaped front that makes rock, stumps, and other dangerous snags slide off harmlessly rather than ripping the evaporative canister away. It also gives side and rear protection, while leaving the canister in place rather than relocating it (since relocation can void the factory warranty and may generate diagnostic error codes), and doesn't require changing the vapor or electrical connections.

    Built Rugged. Poison Spyder manufactures the Evap Skid Plate out of 3/16" thick steel, CNC laser-cut for exacting fitment and brake-formed for functional and attractive shape. The skid plate slightly raises the canister to increase ground clearance by 0.75" also, without disturbing function or attachments. This component is supplied with a satin black powder-coat finish for durability and rust-proofing, and is covered by a standard 1 year limited warranty from the manufacturer.

    Bolt-On Installation. The Poison Spyder Evap Skid Plate can be easily installed using hand tools and has a bolt-on fitment for quick and handy attachment. The part comes with two complete sets of hardware for early and later generation JK Wranglers, plus a set of instructions.

    Application. The Poison Spyder Evap Skid Plate is designed for use on all 2007-2018 JK Jeep Wranglers.

            Easy, Peeze,... Beefy

            Took appx 30 mins from opening my toolbox to closing it. There were 4 four bolts and three hoses to remove and reinstall. Very simple install. The factory plate offered no real protection, now I have NO FEAR!!... (well at least when it come to the evap canister)

            Good fit but...

            ...the instructions are poorly explained. For those that are not mechanically inclined and want to take a swing at it by themselves, I suggest you to watch videos on YT on how to install this. It comes with 2 brackets, one for 07-11 JK’s and another for 12-18. I have an 08 so it was extremely easy for me to do.

            Poison Spyder Evap Skid

            This is very heavy duty. I haven't installed it yet but I believe its the best on the market for similar price of the comparable majority. Its the only one I have found that also lifts the evap can about 3/4" higher than factory so it gets it tucks it up and out of the way a little bit more.

            Perfect fit on a 2014

            Very solid construction. Actually tucks the evap can a bit closer to the under body, out of harms way and more clearance from driveshaft. All bolts lined up perfect. You have to remove the clips in the evap lines during installation which is not difficult once you see how they operate. There are several videos in the web which show how.
