Description
Tail Light Upgrade. The Motobilt Round Tail Light Conversion Kit replaces the factory plastic taillight housings on Jeep JL Wrangler 2dr and 4dr models to prevent trail damage. It provides a rugged steel alternative that fits tightly against the body, improving durability without extending outward. This kit changes the vehicle's rear styling and offers compatibility with various 4" round tail lights, including surface mounted and grommet styles.
Construction and Appearance. Manufactured from 14 gauge steel, the components ship as bare metal to allow custom painting or powder coating to match the vehicle build. The kit features multi-part assemblies including mounting plates for both surface mounted and grommet style tail lights, ensuring versatility and a clean, durable finish.
Installation. Installing this kit requires some drilling on interior support brackets but no modifications or drilling are needed on the exterior body. The process is straightforward and can be completed efficiently, with factory tail light housings able to be reinstalled if desired.
Application. Designed specifically for 2018-2026 Jeep Wrangler JL models equipped with factory halogen tail lights. This kit is incompatible with Jeeps fitted with blind spot monitoring systems.
