Hey, guys. So, today, we're checking out the Sequential LED Tail Lights in Black, fitting all 2018 and newer JL Wranglers. So, if you're not a fan of your factory lights or your factory halogen bulbs, or you've even busted up a tail light while you're out on the trail and you're looking for a replacement that's going to give you some extra performance and a very custom look, this option is going to be a great choice to take a look at. So, as you can tell, this is going to completely switch it up from the factory as far as styling goes. You're getting more of a Euro feel with these lights with the clear lens as well as that black housing and you're getting a very custom look with the LEDs inside. Now, speaking of those LEDs, those are going to be incredibly brighter than the factory light. So, this is perfect for you guys out there that are looking to upgrade from that halogen bulb and make sure that you are more noticeable while you're driving around on the street. Now, as you can tell, we have the daytime running lights lit right now, but on the inside, you're also getting more multiple LEDs for that brake light, and a bright white LED for that reverse light. Now, again, those are going to be a lot brighter than the factory halogen. So, if you are looking for some better visibility out of the back of your Jeep, especially when you're backing up, these are gonna be a great choice. These are even gonna be stronger than the factory tail lights as far as construction goes. So, if you are looking to get something that's a little bit more durable, that can hold up better on the trail, through branches and brush, this is going to be a good choice. What I do really like about this though is that, not only are you getting all the features that I just listed off, but this is going to have a sequential feature as well. So, when you are putting your turn signal on the lights inside of the LEDs in the middle will have a sequential pattern again, adding to the styling and adding to that custom look and making you more noticeable on the road to other drivers, which is most important. So, as far as the pricing goes, these are gonna be roughly $350 and in my personal opinion I think that this is a high quality light and you're definitely getting your money's worth with a set of these tail lights. Now, you are getting that durable construction, and you're getting a very custom feel in comparison to some other choices that may have a more simple design or just have multiple LEDs in a square-like pattern. So, if you are looking for something that's a little bit different, this is going to definitely stand out on the product page. Now, there are options that are similar to this. However, they may just switch it up a little bit. As far as a smoke lens goes, or even the housing, this particular one has a black housing and a clear lens. So, it may just come down to styling differences when you are taking a look at the product page. But again, if you're looking for a set of tail lights that is going to be incredibly bright and make your Jeep stand out while you're driving around on the trail or the street, then this is going to be the choice that you wanna take a look into.Install is gonna be very easy as well and a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. You're gonna need a couple of basic hand tools and probably 30 minutes to an hour to get the job done. So, speaking of the install, let's jump into that now.The tools that I used for my install were Phillips head screwdriver and a flathead screwdriver, T40 Torx bit, and the ratchet [inaudible 00:03:10] JL toolkit. So, our first step to this install is to head inside our tailgate area. So, once you're in your tailgate area, you'll see this little trim piece here, you're just gonna take a flathead screwdriver and pry up on that. You can also use a trim removal tool in order to do that. Then we can take our T40 Torx and our ratchet and there's going to be a small plastic screw in the inside. We're gonna go ahead and remove that. It maybe a little bit difficult to see but once you're inside your tailgate area, you will definitely see it. All right, so once that's removed, we can go ahead remove our tail light. So, all we have to do at this point is just give it a pull. And then you'll see the wiring harness on the back. You can take that flathead screwdriver, push up on that red locking retainer clip, push down, pull back. And you may have a clip that's holding the harness on. We can just wiggle that off.You can also use a trim removal tool to do this too. All right, now we're ready to install our new tail light. Before we can install our new tail light we do have to take this retainer clip or the bracket in order to install it and move it over to our new tail light. So, you're gonna need a Phillips head screwdriver, there's three screws on the back of this. We're gonna keep those screws because we'll be reusing them for the new tail light. We're gonna just pop this over to the new one. There is, as you can see, going to be a little retainer clip holding this in. We're going to line that up, line up the pins at the front and the back, pop it down into place. We can take our screws and transfer them over. Now, we're ready to install our new tail light. Now, all we have to do at this point is plug in our new tail light. Make sure you hear a click, so we can line up these retainers on the side with the holes in the body, right? Once that's sitting in place, we can head inside the tailgate again and secure it down with the factory screw. That should thread right into the back of the tail light. We can take our T40 Torx and I just have a handle on the tail light as well just to make sure that it's staying in place once we thread this in. Once you get a couple of threads in it should stay in place. And you also wanna make sure not to overtighten this. It is spring-loaded, so it will keep it in place and because it is plastic, it may break if you overtighten it. So, once you just get a good tension like that, you'll be okay. Then we can grab our trim piece and pop that down into place and we can repeat that same steps on the other side. Before we hop into the rest of the install with our new tail lights, I do wanna stop down and tell you guys a little bit more about these lights in detail in comparison to our factory setup. Now, as you can tell this is going to be a completely different light as far as styling goes compared to the factory. And when we look at the factory light, we can tell that we just have a standard red reflector up at the top, standard white reflector down at the bottom, we have a reflector on the side in a pretty plain plastic housing. Now, that is just going to be a standard setup for the factory, but when looking at our new LED lights it's going to be completely different. So, with this you're getting more of a Euro style with that clear lens and the black housing on the back. Now, you are also getting the LED lighting in a ring and that outer ring, that fiber optic look, is going to be your daytime running light. So, that's going to be a lot more noticeable on the road in comparison to your factory lights. Now, that inside ring of the tail light is going to be your brake light. Now, that's gonna consist of multiple LEDs and, again, is going to be incredibly bright and a lot brighter than your factory halogen bulbs. Now, that inside light or the innermost part of the circle, that's gonna be your reverse light that is going to be clearer and, again, that LED is going to be a lot brighter. And it's going to last a lot longer than the halogen filament will. And, overall, the lights will give you a long lifespan out of this set of tail lights. Now, what I do really like about this is the fact that these are going to be sequential. It says it in the name. So, when you do put on your turn signal, that second inner ring that will rotate around the middle. So, you're getting some extra styling and you're definitely gonna be a lot more noticeable on the road with this set of tail lights in comparison to the factory ones. Now, I do really like the overall setup. You're still getting that standard reflector on the side. These are going to be DOT-approved and they also are going to be pretty durable in comparison to the factory lights. These will have a polycarbonate lens, so this is still going to give you complete transparency through the lens while with the lighting, but it is going to be more durable. So, if you are taking your Jeep off-road, this will be able to handle more branches and brush than your factory plastics, not to mention that you also are getting a completely plug-and-play setup like you saw with the first tail light that we installed. So, this is a very easy and really to the point when it comes to install. So, what do you say we go install our second tail light? That's gonna wrap it up for my review and install.
