Construction. This tough, heavy duty exhaust system is part of MBRP's rough and ready Black Series, able to stand up to high temperatures and abrasive exhaust clamps. The sturdy Mandrel bent, 16 gauge steel is fashioned into 2.5 inch pipes that permit strong, efficient exhaust flow, boosting torque while improving fuel efficiency by 1 to 2 MPG. The stainless steel tip is removable, so you can leave it in place while you're cruising around town or you can remove it for wheeling.
This finely crafted cat-back exhaust system provides enhanced performance and improved sound. The chambered muffler rumbles deeply while idling and roars fiercely at high speeds. This system is designed to boost horsepower while withstanding moderate doses of trail punishment.
Application. MBRP backs this system with a three year warranty. This system fits 2007 - 2011 JK Wranglers, but only the 4-door models.
Fitment: 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 Details

This exhaust is a decent upgrade. Install was easy. I was hoping for a more aggressive exhaust tone. After 26 months, the exhaust rusted badly. I contacted MBRP, sent them pics and they replaced the entire system. Customer service was great.Helpful (11)

Great product for price
Great value and good quality. Could come with out tip because people will buy their own separate or more tip options. Install was easy and fast only 2 tools needed.Helpful (11)

Cat-Back for 07-11 2 Door Wrangler 3.8L
Exhaust was made very well. The section fits allowed for easy adjustments. I went ahead and cut slots in two sections to allow better sealing of joints and also purchased Dynomax band clamps to tighten the joints better and to insure a better seal. The band clamps will also allow easier disassemnly,if needed. Very aggressive sound during acceleration but smooth sound at crushing speed. Interior sound level tolerable.Helpful (11)

MBRP Cat-back exhaust--Made my Jeep Smile!
Easy and quick installation. All instructions and fit perfect. Makes this popping noise between 1st and 2nd gear, in higher RPM, possibly in the higher gears also, did not test. Tested on a automatic, a manual trans might sound different. Very happy with the product and sale. Would definitely recommend, if you are looking for a system possibly little less visible, Extreme Terrain does sell same system but coated Black, slight higher cost. Thank You,Helpful (11)

Exactly what I was looking for
It has a nice low tone but not real loud. Exactly what I was looking for. This was my first exaust install, putting it on took about 20min, everything lined up perfectly. Getting the old one off took almost an hour. I finally just grab the cut off wheel and saw and cut it off.Helpful (11)

Great cat back
Great exhaust easy to put together. Hardest part is taking off the old exaust. Make sure you follow directions and do not tighten anything until your all set on your hangers. Total install with taking out the old exhaust is a couple of hoursHelpful (12)

Exactly what I wanted, the sound is great and the fit was spot on. Took about an hour to install. Removing stock exhaust took most of my time.Helpful (12)

This was a nice upgrade for my JK! The sound was good at first but got a lot better after a few days. Not a bad sound for a 6 cylinder! Was easy to install and looks good too. Nice product!Helpful (13)
I live in a potentially snowy, high-salt use area . . . will this product be okay as opposed to stainless steel?
The MBRP Cat Back Exhaust (12-17 Wrangler JK w/ 3.6L) is Aluminized Steel, this steel is rust resistant, it helps to slow the process and helps to protect the unit as a whole from the elements. Stainless steel would be more ideal for high-salt areas.
Will I need to purchase an exhaust spacer kit for installing this?
Hello! The exhaust spacer kits that we carry, are necessary for certain lift kits, it is not necessary when just switching a cat-back exhaust system.
