This Magnaflow Rockcrawler exhaust is for those of you with the 2012 and up two-door JK that are looking to change up the sound of your Jeep, as well as provide some additional clearance and have less tubing underneath the ride that can get banged up when you're on the rocks. I'm going to give this a one out of three wrenches. All you're going to need to do is remove your factory exhaust system and bolt this one in place. There's no cutting, there's no welding, there's nothing difficult about this install. Give yourself around two hours to get this installed, maybe a little bit less if you don't have any rust on your JK. This system will replace both the factory resonator and the factory muffler with just one smaller bullet-style muffler. So, again, have some additional clearance and tuck up everything out of the way so you have less of a chance of bashing these things on the rocks. As with any exhaust system, this is going to open up your engine a little bit, let it breathe a little bit better. So you might get a little bit better throttle response, a little better MPG, but this is really going to be about the sound. And because this eliminates both the factory resonator and muffler in place of just one smaller muffler, this is going to be one of the louder system on the market. Now, if it had less of a tailpipe dumped in front of the axle, it would be even louder. And this tailpipe system does mellow things out just a little bit. But it gives it a really nice sound, something that I really like. So, again, this is going to replace a couple of components in place of one bullet-style muffler here and you are going to have all of the piping to have your outlet behind the rear axle. The Off-Road Pro System from Magnaflow does dump in front of the axle, that is going to be a little louder and eliminate even more piping. This system overall is by a company that we all know, Magnaflow. They've been making exhausts for a lot time. They make a really high quality product. This is going to be a stainless exhaust system. Everything fits together really well. You can tell by the bends, by the welds, that this is a very well-built system out of a very high quality material. But all of that also means it's going to be a little bit more expensive that some of the others on the market. If you have the budget for it, you'll like the way this sounds. I think it's going to be a nice option. As far as the install goes, I am going to give this a one out of three wrenches. The most difficult thing you're going to run into is going to be any sort of rust that you might have on that factory exhaust system. So I definitely recommend spraying all of the clamps, all of the nuts, bolts, and even the hangers with a good penetrating oil well before you get started with this installation. It's going to make it that much easier to take everything apart. So you can start from the back removing your muffle, then removing the rest of the piping and resonator from the catalytic converter collectors all the way back. Get everything out of the way. Then when installing this system, you're going to actually start at the front by the cats, installing this small extension pipe here, then the muffler, then your over-axle pipe, and finally your outlet tailpipe section. This system does come with all the clamps that you're going to need to get it installed on the Jeep.Give yourself around two hours to get this installed, maybe a little bit less if you don't have any rust on your JK. And with some traditional hand tools, you can get this done in your driveway. With Magnaflow you are going to be paying a little bit more for quality of materials and quality of construction. And this system comes in at right around $460, which is going to be the higher end of the price range for an exhaust system like this. But, again, I think it gives you really great sound, it gives you functionality of having less piping, less stuff to get banged up on the trail. So if you're looking for something that you can take off road, give you some sound, I think that this is a really nice option. And it's a very high build quality as long as you have the budget for it.So if you're looking for more growl and to have less stuff to get banged up on the rocks, I definitely recommend taking a look at this Magnaflow Rockcrawler exhaust system for your 2012 and up JK that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.

Showed up on time with no damage to the packaging! Installed on 2017 JKUR. Removing factory exhaust was the hardest. I ended up using a saw to cut the pipe out in easy to maneuver chunks, and a cut off wheel to slice the nipple of the exhaust hangers and pull them out. Install on the Magnaflow was really nice. Everything fit just right and had all the correct hardware. After all said and done, there are no rattles, plenty of clearance around everything, and the sound is awesome. Nice low rumble at idle and while on the trails. Gets good and noisy when you put the hammer down getting on the highway, or passing. Clearance wheeling is great also. Flexed out on the rocks there was plenty of clearance for suspension. Thumbs upHelpful (2)

This exhaust rocks!
Installed the Magnaflow Rock Crawler Cat-Back Exhaust two weeks ago and couldn't be happier. The install was easy and the sound is fantastic. If you are looking for something with a little more rumble, but not too loud, this is the ticket. Fairly quiet at idle and at cruising speeds. Nice sound when on throttle. I can also feel a tangible performance improvement at higher RPMs. Exactly what I was looking for in an exhaust system.Helpful (1)

Bolted on easy, I recommend using torch gun to make it real tight. Great sound, it’s not too loud. Much more clearance on the back end. Great product.Helpful (1)

I am glad I chose this exhaust after looking at several types and brands. Not the cheapest, or most expensive system but it was worth the cost and wait. I notice a huge difference in horsepower and the nice low sound is a definite improvement over the cheaper competitors rear exhaust that I had . Professionally installed and an Awesome Mod!Helpful (3)

First things first, hit ALL of your rubber hangers with bb blaster or wd40 before attempting to remove your old system. It took me 2 hours to remove it bc i didn't do that step. The new exhaust went on in less than 20 minutes, very nice clamps and easy to install piping. After a few heat cycles it got a louder, crackles and pops a little bit between shifts or when going into neutral. Doesnt drone untill you hit 3k rpm, not bad on the highway at all. Feels like the engine breathes a lot better with this pipe and with a cold air intake. Jeep whips doughnuts in the dry nowHelpful (1)

Rock crawler magnaflow for jku
I recently lured on the rock crawler magnaflow wotj no additional performance parts and I've noticed a gain in throttle response and top end speed as well as better fuel mileage . I was getting 17l per 100 km and now I'm down to 15.5. Great purchase.Helpful (2)

Awesome upgrade on 2012 Wrangler JK
I wanted a more aggressive tone to my exhaust without waking up the neighbors...it's a nice balance, and I love it!Helpful (8)

Even though it sounds nothing compared to my 2011 camaro SS Borla exhaust, it does sound pretty good when rolling down the pavement or crawling over obstacles. I mainly got it though for the fact that it will be nearly impossible to damage it unless you pin yourself on a pointed rock at just the right spot because it gets rid of the back exhaust you see when looking at the jeep and locates it up in the frame. I will say, you will prolly have to cut off the old exhaust due to the front most clip faces upward from the factory and there is no way to physically get to the bolt to get it off. good luckHelpful (8)

Easy to install, took me about 45min to an hour definitely helped that I WD-40ed all bolts and rubber bushings ones a day for three days before attempting to install, the sounds ten times better!Helpful (9)

This is a pretty solid exhaust. Install is easy. Removing factory exhaust was difficult. I had a muffler delete for a while and this is a huge improvement. To understand how loud this is, remove the muffler from your jeep. It is probably 75 of mufflerless sound with significantly better tone and no freeway drone. Plus it won’t get smashed on rocks like stock.Helpful (9)

Magnaflow Rock Crawler Cat Back Exhaust
Received it fairly fast giving that it came from California all the way to Ohio (5 days) and just had the time to install it today. Just as everyone says getting the old exhaust off was a major pain, about an hour, an adult beverage and a few choice words but nothing that grinder and a cut off wheel couldn't handle....... on to the install.....super easy, took about 20 minutes total and I really like the sound. Nothing ricey just a nice lower tone and on the highway it actually is pretty quiet. So overall I would highly recommend this Magnaflow exhaust to all JK ownersHelpful (13)
