hello, the little screws around the edge in between the spoke started to take on some rust like colours. Are they suppose to rust?

        • The outer bolts of these Mammoth Type 88 Black Wheel are not made from stainless steel, so they can be susceptible to rust or corrosion.

My Jeep is not lifted at all right now, and I want to put these tires and rims on it. Can you recommend the right lift kit that I would need to purchase along with these tires so they fit? Also, are they going to be too wide? The tires on the jeep now are only 9.5. Thanks.

        • Hello, To run 33's with a TJ (1997-2006) you will need at least 2.5" of lift. To run 33's with a YJ (1987-1995) you will need at least 3.5" of lift. For good off-road performance I would recommend going a little bit larger then the minimum lift size. This kit is designed to have no issues with rubbing when installed on a jeep with the proper amount of lift.

Will this set up work on a 2001 Wrangler Sahara with 2" lift? No rubbing issues? Appx how far out will they stick with stock fener flares? Thank you, Lance

        • Hi, we will need more info about your build to help you with your question about this set up please feel free to give us a call or send us an email so we can help you with your question.

I have a 98 TJ with a 2.5" lift. It has stock steel 15x7 wheels with 31x10.50x15's. My question is will these stick out farther than my factory 3.5" fender flares?

        • Assuming you are going to run the same size tire on the Mammoth wheels the new set up is going to stick out about 1.75 inches more than your current set with the factory wheels.

In one of the photos, I noticed that the outer rim insert is orange. Are these sold in different colors, specifically Forest Green Pearl?

        • The inserts are not available in colors other than black, however, they can be removed and painted to the color of your choice.

Very good looking and quality wheels except the center hub is plastic and you can pop them on and off easily. But that would not discourage me from buying them again.

            Badass Wheels

They are so clean and will not disappoint anyone who buys them. Receive a lot of compliments on them. Look extremely good on my BFG KO2s. The only problem I have with them is that when you go mudding, its really hard to get rid of the mud inside without having to remove the tire to clean it.

Review from Mammoth Type 88 Black Wheel - 15x8 (87-06 Jeep Wrangler YJ & TJ)

            beware the flimsy center caps

center caps snap on from the outside - they are not secured by the wheel in any way, shape or fashion. you can easily pull them off from the outside with your fingers, hence, they VERY easily fall off on their own just driving down the road. I purchased the wheels and center caps approximately one month ago and have already lost two caps. I do zero off roading, the majority of my driving is highway, with some city. i would not have purchased had I known.

            NOT BAD FOR THE MONEY

The rims were definitely a good price, plus I got them on sale and saved an extra 60ish dollars. They extended my tires a good 3" outward on my 31s. I could easily put 33s on without buying spacers. I was a bit disappointed that the center hub was plastic with a plastic chrome "Mammoth" logo. That will wear off with time. However, they definitely gave my 99' TJ a whole new profile.
