Merideth: If you're in search of an affordable way to get a wider look for your truck, these Mammoth 1.5-inch Billet Wheel Spacers in black will be a good option to take a look into for your 2005 to 2015 PreRunner, 2005 to '15 4-wheel drive Tacoma, and 2016 or newer 6-Lug Tacoma. Now, these will be right in the middle when it comes to width if you're looking for a bit more poke, but don't want a very aggressive setup. Now, this will also be a great kit if you've upgraded to a wider attire and you're having some rubbing inside the wheel wells and you're looking for an affordable fix to help your fitment. Now, this kit will be, again, a middle-of-the-road option size compared to other choices in the category. Now, that one and a half inches will offer it just enough width to create more of a flush stance with factory wheels that have a high positive offset and an aggressive stance for aftermarket wheels depending on the backspacing and the offset there too. Now, I would like to mention that this will come with just two spaces in the kit. What you see is what you get on the table here. So, you will need to purchase two sets if you're looking to add this to all four corners. Now, these will have a six by five-and-a-half-inch bolt pattern and either work with your stock wheels or any aftermarket wheels that you're looking to add or have already installed on your truck. This will also be very well built made of a CNC machine-built aluminum hub-centric construction with a nice semi-gloss black finish to protect the aluminum underneath from corrosion. Now, these will also include 10 lug nuts. As you can see, they're pre-installed on the spacer red out of the box, and a thing of thread locker to make sure that these are going to be tightly secured once they're installed. Now, like I mentioned, these will be an incredibly affordable solution and one of your most affordable options, four-wheel spacers at roughly $85. Now, if you're looking at a set of two, you'll be looking at roughly double that, but still, when comparing two others in the category, you will be saving a couple of bucks even for that set of two. Now, in taking a look at other choices on the page, usually, you'll just see different sizes including a smaller one to one-and-a-quarter inch spacer or larger one and three-quarter to two inches in size, which would offer more of that very wide look compared to these, which is pretty mild as far as the width is concerned. Now, I'll also see some different colored spacers on the page, but if you don't really care for a specific color and you just want one of the more affordable choices for a one-and-a-half-inch wheel spacer, then this kit is gonna be for you.As far as install is concerned, this will be a pretty easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you about an hour to get the job done for the front or the rear, considering that this is two, with some basic hand tools, if you do have a set of two, you will be looking at about double that time. Now, speaking of the install, one of our installers here is going to walk you through the process step by step on how to get these onto your Tacoma at home. So, that's gonna wrap it up for me. Let's go ahead and get into it.Male: The tools you'll need for this project are a half-inch impact gun and a 19-millimeter socket. All right, everyone. Today we're installing a set of wheel spacers on our Tacoma. So, let's get started. So, the first thing you're gonna want to do after you get your vehicle properly supported, of course, is remove your wheels. Once you get your wheels removed, take a look at your studs, make sure that they're all in good shape, and then before you actually put the wheel spacers on, it's highly recommended that you use some thread locker on the studs as well. So, we're not gonna make a permanent addition to our vehicle, so we're not gonna put it on. But what you wanna do is just put this on a little bit about half an inch on the studs, and then you can also put some in the included lug nuts just to make sure that it gets well coated. Once you do that, we can go ahead and install the spacer itself. All right. To install these spaces, it's really simple process. All you have to do is put it on the studs just like you would your wheel and use the included lug nuts to secure it to the hub.And once you've got all the lug nuts started, you go ahead and tighten those down with the 19-millimeter socket, and then make sure that you torque it to factory-recommended specifications. Once you do that, we can go ahead and reinstall our wheel. Now, one thing you want to keep in mind as well, these wheel spacers are not hub-centric. They are lug-centric. So, if it feels loose on the hub, don't worry about it. Everything will line up once you tighten the lug nuts down themselves. So, once you've got this one done, you can do the same process on all the rest of your wheels and you're good to go. Reinstall your wheels, torque them down to factory specs, make sure everything works fine and you're good.Merideth: So, that's gonna wrap it up for my review and the install the Mammoth 1.5-inch Billet Wheels Spacers in black fitting all 2005 to 2015 PreRunner and 4-wheel drive Tacomas, as well as 2016 or newer Tacomas.
