Merideth: Hey, guys. So today, we're checking out the Mammoth 2-Inch Billet 6-Lug Wheel Spacers in black, fitting all 2005 and newer Toyota Tacomas. So if you are in search of a wider look for your truck, spacers are always a great option, and this kit by Mammoth will be a great choice and an affordable choice to take a look into. This kit will be one of the largest in the category and come with two spacers in the kit that'll push your wheels out from the hub two inches. Now, this side spacer will be for someone who's looking to go on the more aggressive side when it comes to a stance in comparison to some of these smaller choices available. This will also be a great kit if you've upgraded to a wider tire and you're having some rubbing inside the wheel wells, and you're looking for an affordable fix to help your fitment. Now, I would like to mention that this will come with two spacers in the kit, so you will need to purchase two sets if you're looking to add these to all four corners. These will have a 6x5.5 inch bolt pattern and will work with either your stock wheels or aftermarket wheels that you're looking to add or have already installed on your truck. Nonetheless, these will be very well made and very well built, made of a CNC machine-built aluminum construction with a semi-gloss black finish to protect the aluminum underneath from any corrosion. These will also include 12 lug nuts, as you can see on the spacer itself, and they're also going to come with some thread locker to make sure that they are very tight and secure once they're installed. Now, like I mentioned, they are going to be incredibly affordable as a solution for better fitment and a wider look, and this kit will be one of your most affordable choices at roughly $75.Now, again, if you are going to be purchasing a set of two, you'll be looking at roughly $150. And even when comparing it to some others in the category, when you purchase two sets, you'll even be saving a couple of bucks there. Now, in taking a look at some other options on the page, usually you'll see different sizes. So again, this is two-inch for a very wide look. Some other options are gonna be a little bit more narrow or smaller at 1-inch, 1.25, 1.5, and 1.75.Now, again, this is gonna be for the very wide look and if you are having a lot of fitment issues. Now, again, this will be for somebody who's looking for a lot of extra width when it comes to their stance, again, in comparison to those smaller options. You'll also see different colored spacers. But if you don't really care for a specific color and you're really just looking for one of the most affordable choices, then this is gonna be for you. Now, as far as install is concerned, this will be a pretty easy one-out-of-three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you about an hour to get the job done with some pretty basic hand tools. Now, one of our installers here is gonna walk you through that process step by step. Let's go ahead and get into the install.Man: Tools used for today's video: a floor Jack, Jack stand, 1/2-inch impact, 21-millimeter socket, 19-millimeter socket, short extension, some lock tight, 3/8 impact, and a torque wrench. What's going on, guys? So today, I'm gonna be going over the installation process of your Mammoth 2-inch wheel spacers. Let's get started. All right, guys. So now that we have our vehicle lifted and we have our Jack stand safely underneath of the vehicle, knowing that we are completely safe if the Jack were to fail, now it's time to take our wheel off. We have aftermarket blind sockets. Most likely on your Tacoma, it's gonna be around a 21-millimeter socket. I would confirm, but we're gonna go ahead and take ours off now.All right. So we're gonna go ahead and start the installation process of our wheel spacers. You're gonna have these open holes, and these are gonna go over your existing wheel studs. Before applying your lug nut to bolt onto the existing wheel stud, make sure you're gonna use some form of lock tight, either red or blue. I believe the red will come in the kit, but it's gonna go on just like so. And you're gonna take those lug nuts that were threaded onto the outer wheel studs, and we're gonna thread those onto our existing wheel studs on the car. Using our 19-millimeter socket, we're gonna start those now. And you're gonna wanna put these on the same way you would a wheel. Use your star pattern. Start these with your finger. It is a pretty deep pocket, so it may take a minute or two to kind of line that up.And then once you get those tight with your impact or your ratchet, we're gonna torque these down to your manufacturer wheel spec. All right. So now that we got our 19-millimeter socket with our torque wrench, we're gonna go ahead and torque these down, like, again, I said in a star pattern to manufacturer torque spec for your wheels. This wheel is gonna turn if you have it lifted up. I took a breaker bar and put it on the brake pedal and against the seat. If you have an extra friend, you could always have him hop in and push on the brake pedal. In our case, ours is already locked, so I'm gonna go ahead and torque it down now.All right. So now it's time to reinstall our wheel. Same thing, star pattern. We've got our impact with our 21-millimeter. All right. So now it's time to torque our wheels down to manufacturer spec. Again, star pattern. And now once you have that done, you're gonna repeat the same process all the way around. All right, guys, that's gonna wrap up the review and install for the Mammoth 2-inch Billet 6-Lug Wheel Spacers in Black, fitting your 2005 to current Tacomas. Thanks for watching. And for all things Tacoma, keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.
