Hey, guys. So today we're checking out the LED Projector Headlights fitting all 2018 and newer JL Wranglers. So, if you're in search of a very sleek headlight that's going to increase your lighting performance out of the front end of your JL, then this is going to be a great choice to take a look into. So, as you can see, these have a dark black and stealthy housing, and they're also going to come with three projector LEDs inside. Now, right in the middle, you're gonna have your projector LED low beam and then up at the top and down at the bottom, you're gonna have your high beam. Now, these are going to be incredibly bright, perfect for somebody who's looking for better visibility while driving at night, especially on dark back roads. And it's going to have a more uniform light pattern, while also having a bright white light in comparison to your factory halogen bulbs. So, while increasing your lighting performance, you're also getting a more modernized look and feel out of the front end of your JL. Not to mention these are also going to be completely plug and play, making the installation as simple as it can be, and is perfect for somebody who doesn't want any fuss when it comes to a headlight. With that being said that these are gonna come in at roughly $800 and in my personal opinion, I think that that's a great price for the quality that you're getting out of this set of headlights. Now again, these are going to be incredibly bright considering they have an LED, and they are a projector LED. And they're also going to have again at that stealthy black housing which is gonna go great with any other blacked out look or blacked out accessories that you already have on your JL. Now, in comparison to some other choices, some other options just may have some different features, some may be for LEDs and not necessarily LED projectors, and then some may come up with halos. Now choosing a headlight comes down to your personal preference when it comes to the styling. However, if you're looking for a stealthy pair of headlights, and you don't necessarily need a halo, you're just looking for that blacked out look and you're also looking for some better lighting performance for your JL then this is going to be it.Now, like I said install is going to be very easy at a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. Everything is completely plug and play and you're only gonna need a couple of basic hand tools to get the job done. So, speaking of that install, let's jump into that right now. The tools that I used for this install were an impact wrench, a 10-millimeter socket and a pop clip removal tool. So, our first step to this install is to pop our hood, we're gonna go ahead and take off our grille, you are going to need a trim removal tool or a pop clip removal tool for this. So, there are six of these clips that are holding in the top of the grille, I'm gonna take my pop clip removal tool, you could also use a flathead screwdriver if you don't have one of these, this just makes it a little bit easier if the pop clips are giving you a little bit of trouble. Then once those are out, what we can do is put this to the side, lift up on the top of the grille, taking the little pins out of the rad support here. And then we'll be able to pull it back, there are some retaining clips or holding it in, two underneath the headlines and then a couple on the bottom here underneath the vent. Can just put this to the side for the time being. Then we can take a 10-millimeter socket or move the three bolts that are holding in our headlight. So, once those are out, we can pull our headlight out, and we can disconnect the wiring harness at the back. What we can do next is take our new headlight. Plug in the wiring harness, making sure that it clicks, then we can line this up into place. There's gonna be a little post that holds it into place on the top and the bottom, then we can grab our factory hardware and secure that down. I like to get them hand-threaded first then we can take our 10-millimeter socket and tighten those up.So, before we install our second headlight, I did wanna stop down and tell you guys a little bit more about this new setup, especially in comparison to our stock one and tell you some of the similarities and differences between the two. Now as a brief overview of our factory headlight, I have a halogen one on the table. Now, this is standard in JLs, however, some options do have the LED package, however, I'm gonna focus on the halogen one today. And this is just going to be great for those standard stock applications. Now, the halogen bulb is good for that. However, when you need some extra visibility or some extra lighting at night, especially on dark back roads, an LED is definitely the way to go. Not to mention this is going to have a plastic setup and a plastic housing, so it's not going to be as durable as something with a polycarbonate construction or an aluminum construction like this one does. So, moving over to this one, this headlight is going to have projector LEDs, it's going to have three projector LEDs exactly, one in the middle that's going to be your low beam and then one at the top and one at the bottom that is going to act as your high beam. Now, these are going to have that projector lens so it's not only going to get the brightness from the LEDs behind it, but it's also going to have the help of that projector lens that's going to shine the light farther down the road giving you better visibility at night, while also creating a more uniform and a cleaner beam and a cleaner light output. That's gonna help you again with your visibility at night and it's also going to just give off a modernized look in comparison to the halogen bulb. Now, the halogen bulb comes off a little bit more warm or has more of a yellowish hue as where this is going to have a bright white light again acting as a more modernized appearance in comparison to the factory setup. Now, speaking of the appearance this is also going to have a black housing which is going to look very stealthy in comparison to the chrome housing on the factory headlight, perfect if you're looking for a sleeker look to the front end or more of a blacked out look if you prefer more of that murdered out style. This is also going to have a durable construction like I mentioned before. So you have that polycarbonate lens on the front, and you also have that aluminum housing to make sure that this is gonna hold up wherever you take it. So, not to mention it this is also gonna be plug and play and reuses all the factory hardware as you just saw before. So, what do you say we go ahead and install our new headlight? After you have your headlights installed, we can reinstall our grille, lining it up with the retainer clips, popping the top in the place, giving it a good push. Then we can take our pop clips that we removed and reinstall those. After those are installed, you can close up your hood and you'll be all set to go.So, that's gonna wrap it up for my review and install.
