Intake. This 4x4 Snorkel from RedRock moves your Jeep's air intake from the low and vulnerable position under the hood to a higher, safer location. There it gets a constant source of clean, cool, dry air – which allows your jeep to wade through deeper waters.

Additional Features. Every component in this part is specifically designed for maximum dust and water sealing, which significantly decreases the risk of engine damage during water crossings. The high flow air ducting and body keeps air supply higher than your engine requires, which helps your engine breathe more easily and improves its performance.

Application. This RedRock 4x4 Snorkel is designed to work on the 2007 - 2011 JK Wranglers.

I have a 2008 JK with a Gobi Rack.... Will this snorkel mount properly, along the windshield frame with the rack? Thanks

    • The RedRock 4x4 Snorkel will clear the Gobi Stealth and Ranger racks.

Will this snorkel work with RedRock cold air intake kit # J100284?

    • No, this snorkel requires use of a closed air box, like your stock one to allow the snorkel to function properly. The RedRock 4x4 Cold Air Intake Kit - Black Wrinkle Coating (07-11 3.8L Wrangler JK) is an open air box Cold Air intake, so it will not work.

Will this work in combination with the RIPP cold air intake?

    • The RedRock 4x4 Snorkel (07-11 Wrangler JK) should be able to be installed with the proper adapter provided by RIPP. However, adding a snorkel to this set up may cause a loss of power as it will restrict the air flow.

    • The Rugged Ridge XHD Snorkel Pre-filter would not be compatible with the RedRock 4x4 Snorkel.

      Worth it

So I just got this snorkel last week and installed it right away first thing I had to go out and buy a 1 3/4 whole saw to do the first two cuts Does not show in video but is in the directions That come with it other then that it was just a little tricky to fit on having a gobi ranger rack I used plastic spacer from Home Depot to correct the gap between the rack and the Jeep , but after everything it’s on and it’s solid and doesn’t make any noise . I also installed the rugged ridge pre-filter it comes with a rubber band that fits perfectly over the top of the snorkel and you’re a bowl with a little bit of lubricant to slide the rugged ridge pre-filter on Fits perfect and I have a better peace of mind while driving in heavy rain !

Does the job. Looks good. Top needs to be tightened up constantly or it could easily fall off.

      Could've been better

The finished product turned out fairly well. The template is measured incorrectly, and the 1/8 measurement for the rivets is wrong. Go slow and make your cuts on the small size. If you can afford it, buy a different snorkel. But for $200 100 for a friend to install, I have an insurance policy on my engine that looks pretty decent, so I'm pretty happy overall.

      Red Rock Snorkle

I got my money's worth, but I had to force it to install properly and ended up breaking one of the air box posts. The template measurements were incorrect, but I took my time and it turned out ok. Sale items are fine if you're on a budget, but if you can, spend the bucks for quality.

Great fit but not worth $200

Product does everything it’s says but you do need to take your time installing it and making sure it fits correctly and that the connection between to snorkel and air box is completely sealed.

      Going Swimming

I know that there are other considerations besides simply installing a snorkel in the JK Series before you can actually go swimming but the snorkel works great as a cold air intake alone and the install was easier than the video suggested. It looks great on my rig and my buddies are jealous of how little I've spent on my build through you. I have built my Jeep almost exclusively from ET because of 1.) Price, 2.) Ease of shopping, 3.) Product selection, 4.) You guys tell it like it is in your videos!

      snorkel

It took maybe a hour and a half to install. I had air tools to use to cut the hood so it went easy. I did cut the hole a little to big so i suggest starting a little smaller then the stencil they give you and work your way up to the size you need.

This Kit is nice and is a reasonable price. -I did have to drill holes bigger than 1/8 for the rivets. The instructions were wrong or they sent bigger rivots. -I went by the template being 23mm from hood latch this was incorrect for my hood. It was off by a 1/4 inch and I had to modify the cut some more. -The rest of the kit met my expectations.

      Very simple

seems to be a study product., had some extra trimming to be done on inside of hood. a Dremel is def a required tool to have a clean cut.

      red rock snorkel

Good snorkel for the price although they aren't very strong. I have broken two of these on a few trees, and I didn't try to hard. Im going to order a third one and rhino line it so hopefully it won't get damaged as easily. Also This snorkel doesn't fit as well as it could with bushwhacker fender flares. All I did was drill new holes in the brackets and it fits just as good. It is a good snorkel though.

      Best bang for the buck

I've searched many different snorkels from different websites and companies. Minus the cutting in the hood which I couldn't do because I didn't have any access to my shop tools everything was easy to do.

      red rock snorkel

Bought it to replace a vandalized snorkel fit just like the 1 I had previously no noticiable power gain since I already had 1 installed it's a great product for the price. However it's a bit stiff to install in the cold weather as the plastic isn't as flexible but it's still easy enough to get done in your driveway.

      Great Product

This was very easy to install, very reasonably priced, added 3 more miles to my gas. I had a slight increase in power and keeps engine running with cold air injection. I would definitely recommend this snorkel to anybody looking for a sweet upgrade that makes a difference in your overall performance.
