Specs. Made of durable and solid aluminum, featuring an anodized black finish, this does not simply add horsepower and torque output, it also adds a bit of underhood aesthetics as well.

Construction. The Rugged Ridge throttle body spacer gives your engine increased air flow which in turn, unlocks power. With the cooler and denser flow, your Jeep will see an improvement in performance. The spacer moves your vehicle's throttle body up 1/2" away from your intake manifold, and helps to draw in a stronger and cooler flow of air. It is custom made to fit your Jeep, and the large bore design pulls in a larger volume of air. It comes backed by a 5 year limited warranty.

Application. This Rugged Ridge Throttle Body Spacer is specifically designed to be used on the 2007-2011 Wrangler JK models equipped with the 3.8L engine.

Will this make me have to get a tune. If I put a throttle body spacer and a cold air intake on my 2011 rubicon jk will I have to tune the computer so I do not throw a code, or is there anything else I need to do besides putting it on?

    Extra power

So I installed this and as well as a CAI on the wife's Wrangler without her knowing what I did. Today she asked what I did to her Jeep as their is more power and she loves the sounds. So TWO THUMPS UP from the wife.

If you're unsure about buying, read this.

I was skeptical about feeling any gain. I thought 40 dollars wouldn't really get me anything. We'll it's not like supercharge ngton your jeep but it definitely had a slight increase in throttle response and mpg. It takes away some of the lag when you step on the gas, making the response smoother with less delay. It was really easy to instal, taking only about 15-20 minutes. Didn't have any gasket sealing issues. The only thing that was a little different when putting it on was, there is just enough slack on the plug in cable for the sensor in your airfilter. If you went any thicker of a spacer I could see the maybe bring an issue.

    Awesome

I installed this in conjunction with a Cold air intake. The 2 combined resulted in a significant power boost and better MPG. I would recommend doing the two together. It was a bit of a pain to get the spacer to sit correctly, and i hand to file down a piece of the electrical housing so the bolts would line up. Other than that it was extremely painless and well worth the 40$.

    Cheap and Easy

This throttle body spacer was cheap and easy to install. Took me maybe 15 minutes to install but I also stopped to grab a ice cold beverage from my refrigerator. Not a huge difference performance wise but I could tell a difference. Very pleased with it and for the price its hard to beat.

It was fast and easy to install. I just don't know if it did a difference. I also install it with a cool air intake system. Good enough for me.

    Absolutely worth it.

For this price I thought why not. It took about 30 minutes for the entire install. However, I can't stress enough not to overtighten the bolts. We ended up cracking the throttle body. $150 later we have a new one in and I am very happy. In the last week I added the Red Rock Cold Air Intake and the Red Rock axle back dual exhaust as well. The Jeep sounds great and there is no doubt it is more responsive, but the most notable improvement is in the MPG's. I went from 11.2 to 16.2. Granted it has been unseasonably warm so I have not been using the remote start or running the heat as much, but even tonight when it cooled down I was still over 16.

    Didn't notice any improvement.

Easy install, but no noticeable difference. Does make a slightly annoying whine noise when at lower RPM.

    Easy Install

I'm not sure if there are performance gains but combined with the cold air intake, I love how it sounds. Installation was easy, probably an hour but along with the CAI, it took a couple of hours.
