Off Road Performance. Tackle intense terrain and trails with the Injen Deep Water Snorkel. Designed to maximize off road performance, this snorkel relocates your air source from the engine bay to above the windshield for access to cool clean air. This gives you the ability to tackle dusty trails without losing power and conquer deep water hazards, which could otherwise hydro-lock and destroy your engine.

Rugged Construction. This Deep Water Snorkel is proudly crafted in the USA to maintain integrity and quality. It features a cross linked polyethylene construction for rigid strength. The upper air scoop is fit with a stainless steel grille to maximize airflow by preventing obstructions from leaves and other trail debris. This rugged design is specifically engineered, not only to provide intense performance, but also to give your rig an aggressive appearance.

Installation. This Injen Snorkel is designed to bolt directly to the Injen Evolution Cold Air Intake with included stainless steel hardware. The kit includes an easy to use template to modify your hood and comes complete with additional trim to create a clean and finished look.

Application. The Injen Deep Water Snorkel is specifically designed for use on 2012-2018 3.6L Jeep Wrangler JK and JK Unlimited models equipped with the Injen Evolution Cold Air Intake, part# EVO5003 (Sold Separately).

I am having an issue with installation. template says 22mm from hood latch indent. this is not lining up, and I don't want to cut before I know the right measurements. Does anyone that has installed this (clearly this is an ongoing issue) have measurements for what you have installed? Is there somewhere I can get pictures of this installed with the hood opened as well? I am not sure how this lays on the inside of the hood, i have a slight gap between the snorkel where it lays on the fender even with it bolted down. 1 answer

Great sealed cold air intake and Snorkel

I replaced my Mopar cold air intake with the Injen I. Order to add the snorkel. Wish I did this right from the beginning. Mopar is good but adding the snorkel is better. One piece snorkel is very easy to install. Cutting the hood is where all the time goes.

            Works with a few issues

The template is terrible. It is about an inch off. Other than that it does not mention putting in the drain plug on the intake.

            Love it!

Love the sleek look of the snorkel and it works well! Took it off road and into some really deep water crossings and it did just fine while 2 other Jeeps I was with flooded out.

            Looks great.

It was an easy install, once you get over cutting the hood. I had read some of the reviews and was a little more prepared for the install. The template that came with the instructions were off by an inch or so but I adjusted it before cutting. It took me about 2 to 3 hours. The material feels good and looks sleek. The mirror on the passenger door will hit it but its not a problem if the doors are off. Overall I love the look of it and surprisingly you can't see it when your inside the Jeep.

            Injen Deep Water Snorke

A quality product. My son and I installed, made sure to measure two or three times and then cut the hood. Looks great, and now I have a true cold air intake.

Hour and a half install :)

So installing this by myself was frustrating at points but in the end was a simple install! Highly recommend this to everyone!

            Its alright

The template has you measure .875"(7/8th) from the hood indentation, but it left about a one inch gap in the front and required about a one inch cut on the windshield side to fit the snorkel. Install took me 2.5 hours with help from a friend to remove the hood and hold it down while i cut it(installed the air box and snorkel at the same time). I used an angle grinder for the cuts, as i could not find a 1.75" drill bit for metal. I do recommend a good pair of gloves as it does leave sharp metal edges when you initially cut it. Final measurement ended up cutting almost all the S off the Willys decal on my hood. There is also a plug on the bottom of the air box that didn't want to screw in which required some filing around the edges to get it to start threading. On the shipping side they advertise 3-5 days, however it ships direct from factory and did not know it shipped out to me until the day before it arrived(UPS email came before their email here). It did however arrive within 5 business days of ordering. Performance wise, I mostly noticed a boost with first and second gear acceleration and low end power(I drive a stick and have not modified the muffler yet).

            2017 jku 2.5 lift on 33x12.5

Instructions were simple enough to follow as long as you have some knowledge of fabrication. Cutting the hood was simple enough I used a sawsaw and angle grinder with cutting wheel. The assembly was straight forward. Honestly I love this product matched with the closed Airbox. Good thick rubber seals and 100 closed in. Not to mention it looks great. Plus it hangs off enough to fit any rack leg between it and the body. Very pleased with the manf. Of this product. Worth every penny!

            Good snorkel. Bad template.

As stated in another review, the template is either too small or the manufacturer just doesn't measure correctly. I had to open up the hole closer to the windshield side quite a bit. It doesn't look bad or like it was cut too far forward. It just seems like the template is too small. Final product looks good. I used a cordless drill with holesaw and a cordless jigsaw with a fine metal blade. No issues cutting. I have the older model kargo master rack so I had to modify the mounting bracket on it but the injen bracket bolted up to it perfectly. Very solid bolt up. There is a gasket kit included to totally seal up the air box. All together, good product and I am happy

            Awesome BUT had some issues

Ok so i liked the fact that the Ingen cold air intake and the snorkel fit perfectly together. The issues came into effect when the cutting began. The snorkel comes with instructions from Ingen and a template. They could give you and easier measurement to work with other then 22mm from the hood latch indent. Thats .866 inch in case you needed to know. so you need to go further then that. and take the time to install the snorkel first then line it up with the hood. Drill pilot holes before you start using the hole saw. Angle grinder for the cuts. Other then the template not being accurate the rest of the install is a breeze. The quality is awesome the brackets line up perfectly. When its all done it looks awesome.

            Great Look

This Snorkel pipe both looks great and works great. If you are looking for a new mod and don't want to spend too much money then this is what you need. Have had one for about 4 months now and love it.
