Description
The steering coupling assembly links the steering shaft to the steering gear, allowing for absorption of vibrations and slight misalignments while maintaining steering control necessary for vehicle operation.
This assembly is made from rubber and steel components for durability and long service life. The coupling is unpainted to maintain a rugged finish typical of functional automotive parts exposed to wear.
Installation does not require drilling and uses the vehicle's existing hardware, allowing for a secure fit. Basic mechanical skills are sufficient for installation, minimizing vehicle downtime.
This steering coupling kit fits Jeep models with power steering, including 1972-1983 CJ-5, 1972-1975 CJ-6, 1976-1986 CJ-7, 1981-1986 CJ-8, and 1974-1986 SJ and J-Series (without Rag Joint Style Steering Shaft).
