Hey, guys. Today, I'm here with the Bestop Duster Deck Cover in black fitting all 2007 to 2018 four-door JK Wranglers. So dusters or tonneau covers have a number of different benefits in their design. So this is gonna be for the JKU owner looking to cover up their cargo area and protect all the cargo in their cargo area from the sun, prying eyes, or any inclement weather while your soft top is down or your hard top is off. This is also gonna do a great job at boosting your MPGs because this area is very well-known for getting wind stuck in there, creating a little bit of drive on the Jeep, making it less aerodynamic than it already is. So this is gonna cover up that area, stop the wind from getting in there, and boost your miles per gallon. So this Bestop option is gonna be a great option that will offer all of those benefits, and it's gonna have a good quality fit. It's gonna be very easy to install, unlike some other options that I have seen on the site that do take a little bit of muscle to install, and this is gonna be made of high-quality products. So this will have a little bit of a higher price tag because of that at roughly $120 on the site right now. So there are other less expensive options that have a very similar design to this. They are vinyl material. However, there are little things that I've picked out that make it a lot easier to install this over those less expensive options. However, if you are on a tight budget, those are still great options to choose from. Now, there are other more expensive options on the other hand, with different materials that are a little bit higher quality than a soft-top vinyl material. And they have different features like sealing to the back of the tailgate with magnets instead of a tailgate bar, so you don't have to outsource if you don't actually have a tailgate bar. Nonetheless, Bestop is still very high-quality, and they're well-known for their quality parts. So I definitely think that that speaks in this product, making it well worth the price. Install is gonna be a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. You're not gonna need any tools, and this is gonna be very easy to install compared to other options that I've seen. Usually, I recommend that you lay out vinyl, like a soft top, tonneau cover, anything that is vinyl, out in the sun to give the material a little bit of resilience, a little bit of stretch so you can stretch it over the belt rail retainer, but that's not the case with this. This did a very good job at installing without giving it too much muscle. So speaking of the install, let's jump into that now. So the first step to installing our duster is to install our tailgate bar. Now, you don't necessarily need this if you have a hard top and you don't have a tailgate bar as well as the retainers, but that just means that it won't seal to the back of your tailgate. If you're looking to completely seal the duster off, then you will need the tailgate bar, which you can find kits for the tailgate bar and the tailgate bar retainers on our site for a generally inexpensive price. So we are just going to slide our tailgate bar over the tab here to put it into the C-channel. And what I like about this duster compared to others that may be a little bit more inexpensive, this vinyl here will go over this tab where you slide the tailgate bar into, which makes it pretty difficult to actually put on the tailgate bar. I mean, it's not a big deal if you're looking for an inexpensive duster. But personally, I like that this is set up exactly like your rear window, and that just makes for a very easy way to slide on your tailgate bar. And it's Bestop quality, so that's basically where that comes from. So once that is on, we can put this in position and secure it into our retainer here. So what we're gonna do now is just go around and put these tabs here into our belt rail retainer, and these are gonna be exactly like the ones on your soft top if you do have a soft top. These are just going to hook in and keep it secured, keep the duster tight. Also, what I do really like about this, which is very common on dusters, is this plastic panel here. This is actually going to protect the vinyl material from hitting that tailgate retainer in the tailgate bar, which I like. It won't wear through the vinyl. It won't damage the vinyl. So that's definitely a good bonus. So we're just going to go around and tuck those into place. Do the best we can to keep this tight, and then we can move around. If you want to just lightly Velcro this for now to keep that in place, you can. Best we can to, kind of, keep that in there so when we get to the other side, we can pull up on there. So what I also like about this is that these tabs on the corners are broken up. So unlike other options, they will be completely rounded off which can make it a little bit difficult to maneuver this plastic here, which is pretty thick, around this corner here. So what Bestop did was just break it up to make it a little bit easier to snap into place and hold there. So we're gonna go ahead and do the other side, just because that one side was not on. So we just need to give it a little bit of tension on the vinyl here to actually stay in place. So I am going to Velcro this around. We will be able to adjust this later. And I do really like that they give you these heavy-duty nylon straps, so you can hook your finger through and pull down on the vinyl. So this is a black diamond vinyl material. This is gonna be the same material that you see on your soft top. So it's gonna resist fading when it's in the sun, and it's gonna be heavier weight and this is going to be water-proof. So if this is sealed up here and your back is sealed with the tailgate bar, then you are going to have full coverage for the cargo in the back to be able to protect that from any unexpected weather when you have your top off. So what I did was went to the other side and kind of adjusted this to make it a little bit tighter so we can get some more tension on here, so we can slip these in. Since it is right out of the box and it's folded up, these are gonna bend a little bit, and that's okay. They will go back into place once you have this installed. But now that we have a little bit of tension, we can slide this side into the belt retainer. Just go around, and we can slide that in and adjust it as needed. So now that that is a little bit tighter, we can go ahead and adjust these straps. I don't really like how it's folding over and it's not really keeping it super-tight. That's an easy fix. You can put a Velcro in the back here. But it still is going to keep out any wind, any really water here. This is gonna be more of a water-resistant, not letting all the water in unlike some other options that actually won't even seal this off and will just tuck around this. So I do still like that this will hold the sports bar here. However, I wish it was just a little bit tighter. So once everything is in place and installed, I would just recommend to hook your finger through and pull on the vinyl. And this is just going to make sure that everything flattens out and has a tight fit. You wanna make sure that this bar is sitting up against your back seats. Now, you can purchase a separate extender for this. On the website right now, we do have that as an option, and it has a very similar C-channel that you would just hook it onto and put your seats down or take out your seats and extend it up into the front seats, making a full duster. So what you can also do is attach a wind jammer, very similar to the extended portion of this. But that will just come up and stop all of that wind from getting inside of your cab area while still offering full visibility. So after you've tightened everything, you are all set to go.
