Hey, guys. It's Sara with extremeterrain.com. And today, we have a review and install of the Barricade Tubular Adventure Doors Doors for the rear, fitting your '18 and newer Jeep Wrangler JL four-door. These rear doors are for the four-door Jeep owner who wants to feel like they're face-to-face with the trail but still wants a bit of protection as opposed to running doorless. These adventure-style rear tube doors provide a safer open-air driving experience and increase your field of view. They feature tubular steel construction with steel reinforcement plates and a nice textured black powder coat finish to give you that rugged off-road look. Also, I did want to note that they sell front doors in the same style to match these rear doors. So as far as price goes, these come in at around $350 for the pair which is on the lower end price-wise when compared to other options. And for your money, you are getting a steel tube door with a nice textured black powder coat finish that gets you that rugged look as well as some other features like the latch, the strap, and the rubber bumper that some other options do not offer. And as far as the install goes, I'm giving this one a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. It does feature a direct bolt-up installation with no modification required and can be done within one hour. So with that said, let's jump into the install. For this install, we used an electric ratchet, although a hand ratchet will work just fine. You will also need a 13-millimeter socket, T40 and T50 Torx sockets. You may want a small extension. You may also want a trim panel removal tool and you'll need the two included Allen keys. All right. So the first step in our uninstall is to grab a T50 Torx socket and remove the two T50 nuts on the bottom of each of the hinges. Now we are getting close to the paint so be very careful, especially if you're using a ratchet like we are. Using your T50 Torx socket, remove the nuts on the bottom of the hinges. Repeat that on the bottom hinge. Now with our door open, we're moving onto the inside of the door jam. There's one bolt here, it's a T40 Torx bolt, and it holds your door open so it can lock in position, go ahead and grab a T40 Torx socket and remove it. At this point, we're moving on to the inside of the door, we have to remove this trim piece here. Now you can either use your hands or gently with a pry tool, go underneath the bottom or side, pry it out and pull down on these tabs up top, and it should hang freely. Now you can see right here, the strap needs to be removed, so go ahead and pull that off of the factory hook. And then in order to remove this connector, just press down on the tab and remove it. With all the bolts removed from your door, you can grab the door and lift up on it to remove it.All right. Now we have our tube door here, we're gonna set it in place on the hinges exactly how the factory door goes. Line up each of the studs with the hinges and slide it in place. At this point, you can grab your lock nut as well as a washer and thread it on the bottom of the stud. Repeat that for the bottom stud. And with a 13-millimeter socket, and you may want a small extension, go ahead and tighten them down. Repeat that on the top one, just be careful not to over-tighten these. Moving on to the inside of our door again, we're gonna install the safety strap over the factory hook. Once that is in place, we can reinstall this trim panel. Make sure to hook it on the top parts first and then press it into place with the clips at the bottom. At this point, we're gonna install our latch. Now they have included several spacers with this kit, so you might want to mock these up to determine if you need any at this point. It looks as if we are going to need some, so I'm gonna start with one spacer here, it's gonna go in between the door bracket and the latch itself. And we're gonna line it up with the hardware which is the larger Allen hardware with a washer and a lock washer. Now keep in mind, there is a ton of adjustability here and there are additional spacers, so this may take a bit of tweaking to get it to sit in the perfect spot, but once you do it should function nicely. Check that it's sitting around where you'd like it to. And then we're gonna go ahead and grab the included Allen key and tighten it down. Keep in mind, as I said before, you can always loosen this to adjust it later on.At this point, you can install the bump stop, this goes right on the bottom bracket here. And just like our latch, this comes with several spacers. So if you do need this to be spaced out more in order for a nice snug fit, you can add those. We're using the smaller Allen key hardware and the smaller included Allen key.Now that we have all of our components fitted to our tube door, we can go ahead and shut it. Then we'll take a look at it side by side with our factory door. Now, as you can see, visually, they're very different from one another. However, this tube door does feature some of the nice components of the factory door such as the safety strap, as well as the latch, and also includes the bump stop for a nice snug fitment. In addition, obviously, it's gonna give you a much more open-air feel while still leaving a bit between you and the trail. It also features a nice textured black finish which is gonna give it that off-road look. So with that said, go ahead and repeat those steps for your passenger side. All right. So now that you've installed both of your rear doors, that is gonna do it for the review and install of these Barricade tube doors. And remember for all things Wrangler, keep it at extremeterrain.com.
