        4 2002 Wrangler - jim

        It Fits!

Have tried previous through the spare accessories for my Wrangler but they all fell short even though my wheels are factory specific. This is the first item I have ordered that actually worked as stated and installation was a breeze except for a small modification to the mounting plate which had to be drilled to fit my mount on the triangle studs.

        5 2017 Rubicon - SPB

Just what I have been looking for

Fits firm and secure. I thought my non-metallic Scepter Can would fit, but it is too thick. Ordered a standard metal military style jerry can and it works fine.

        5 1994 Wrangler - WildBilly

        AWESOME JERRY CAN HOLDER

Received the unit from E/T last week. Very impressed with the quality of the product and materials used. Replaced my stock 94 YJ bumperet with a Smittybuilt bumper and tire carrier. I had been storing my tire inside the Jeep and used the stock spare tire carrier to hold a jerry can. With the new bumper and tire carrier I still needed my spare gas so chose the MORryde tall tray jerry can holder. The install was quick and easy. I added two rear back up lights under the carrier that serve dual purpose back up and work lights. Could not be happier with the results. Would strongly recommend to anyone with a Jeep since as we all know, Jeeps like GAS!

Great way to Mount your Jerry Can!

I looked at many options for mounting a Jerry Can to my 1988 Wrangler YJ. I love this option because it bolts on with no modification requirements. I have noticed the door sags a little when closing due to the extra weight of a full can, but lifting up when closing the door does the trick. To eliminate the issue, I only keep a couple gallons of fuel in the Jerry Can unless I specifically need more for a longer, remote trip.

        Fits Like A Glove

After reading a few of the more negative reviews I had my doubts about the quality of this item. Boy Was I Wrong! Took less than 10 minutes to install and it fit like a glove.

        Outstanding

Works better then advertised. The thing I like most is no rattling of the can holds tight

        1 2000 Wrangler - DavidL

        Great concept, poor quality.

Right off the bat I noticed the brackets to bolt on the tray were welded with at least 1/2" difference from right to left sides. There was no way the tray would bolt on. Then, the little cheap little stubby bolt that holds the tray bracket to the tire mount stripped at the slightest torque. After a few mods, I felt were safer and better quality I'm happy with this holder. Why I didn't return it you ask? I'm busy and dont have time to mess with returns and wait for an exchange. I did email E.T. with photos to show the poor craftsmanship, only to be told since mods were done I could no longer return it, really?? After a few emails back and forth I was given a whole whopping $10 refund!

        3 2016 Wrangler - MJ

        Novelty

This rack is a joke. The way they make the mounting bracket leaves a 1/4 inch gap. I don’t know why they did this. When you tighten the bolts you almost over tighten to close that gap. You have to have a very specific can that cost 75$ to fit. The only reason I kept it is because I mounted my reverse camera on it as well as back up lights. I should’ve just gotten a daystar or rotopax they are the same price. I would not recommend or buy again.

Are the stock TJ tire carrier, tailgate and hinges strong enough to support the holder with a full 5 gal. jerry can while off road?

      • It should be okay to support that, however it certainly wouldn't hurt to at least upgrade the hinges. Better safe than sorry!

Will I still be able to install this if I have an aftermarket tire swing carrier with a 35 inch tire?

      • This will install on most aftermarket tire carriers. Fitment with 35's will depend on your wheel offset but this will work with most wheels.
