Hey, what's up, guys? I'm Ryan from ExtremeTerrain and today, I'm here with the Barricade Extreme HD Full-Width Front Bumper with LED Fog Lights, fitting your 2007 to 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. Now, this is gonna be for those of you that are looking for a unique and aggressive bumper to upgrade your off-roading rig with. Now, with this bumper, you're gonna get full front end protection flare to flare. You're also gonna get added strength and styling due to its aggressive angular design and heavy-duty construction. This high clearance bumper has tapered ends which is gonna give you maximum approach angles and it also has a ton of functionality. This is gonna come with brand new LED fog lights that are plug and play, allows the mounting of a winch and even has additional light tabs for extra additional lighting. Now, this bumper is made from heavy-duty steel plating and tubing and it's totally covered in an aggressive black powder coating. It's gonna add to that aggressive styling and also protect your investment from the elements. Now, this thing is complete bolt-on, comes with brand new hardware, and even that lighting is plug and play. As far as these bumpers go, this bumper is reasonably priced on the site when compared to other options of the same design. There are many options to choose from as far as these bumpers go for the JKs and I think that this is a great option at just around $420. It even comes with a great three-year warranty. As far as installation goes, I am gonna give this a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter as you can get this thing installed in about two hours just using basic hand tools. Now, with that being said, let's hop into the install.Tools we used for this install: 3/8 drive impact, 13-millimeter wrench, 7-millimeter wrench, 1/4-inch drive ratchet, 3/8 drive ratchet, provided Allen key, 3/8 drive extension, 18-millimeter socket, 16-millimeter socket, and a 14-millimeter socket. So, the first thing we'll need to do for this installation is to get this factory bumper off. Now, if you have an untouched Wrangler, you're gonna have a splash shield underneath, you're also gonna have a frame cover up here. These are easily removed, they're just held in with pushpins. You're gonna use a flathead screwdriver to take those out. Now, we don't have any of those things on our Wrangler, so we're gonna go straight to uninstalling the bumper. We're gonna use an 18-millimeter socket to take off the eight nuts and I'll show you how to do that right now.So, at this point in time, your bumper is swinging, but before we completely remove it, we need to disconnect our fog lights. So, what we're gonna do is just pull this off just a little bit and tilt it so you can see exactly what I'm doing. So, we have our fog lights down in here. You're gonna have a little tab on the side, you're gonna press in on that tab, and that's gonna unlock that so you can remove it. We're gonna do that on both fog lights then we can pull our bumper off.So, one of the nice things about this bumper is it comes with brand new LED fog lights. We do have some brackets to install and we have to install those lights onto the brackets. So, we're gonna start with the brackets. We're gonna use very small hardware that they give us with the pack. So, I'm gonna show you how to do that right now.All right. So, you're gonna have this little section where the light is actually going to mount. So, we're gonna face that inward. It's gonna give us a little more length on our wire. So, we're gonna place our bolts. Each one of these little tiny bolts is gonna get a flat washer, and this is going to go through the bracket into our bumper. On the backside, it's gonna get a flat washer, a lock washer, and a nut. All right. So, once we get all of these in, we're gonna center this bracket the best that we can, then we're gonna use the provided Allen key and a 7-millimeter wrench to tighten these up.Now that we have that bracket installed, the next thing we're gonna do is install our fog light. Now, you're gonna get some hardware with that, so you wanna place a flat washer on the bolt and we're just gonna install that right now with another flat washer on the other side, and then we can install this nyloc nut. Once we get that on there, this is just going to slide over top of this, just like that, and then we'll tighten this hardware up. We're gonna make sure that these flat washers go on the outside of our bracket that we installed. After that, we're gonna get this harness out of the way and then we'll tighten this up. So, for the bolt head, we're gonna use a 14-millimeter socket and for the nut, we're gonna use a 13-millimeter socket. Wanna make sure to tighten this enough that this isn't gonna move and allow your light to fall out while you're driving around. All right. So, then we're gonna do the same thing on the other side. All right. So, we got our fog lights in this bumper, there's not really much assembly to do with this bumper, which is something that I really like. Just about ready to get it installed, but before we get it installed, I wanna take a moment just to tell you a little bit about some of the key differences between this aftermarket bumper and your factory bumper and some of the upgrades you're getting with an aftermarket bumper such as this. Now, why do we wanna switch out our front bumpers? We wanna upgrade. We wanna upgrade to something that's stronger, gonna provide more protection, functionality, and also it's gonna look a lot better than the stock one. Now, the first thing to point out about this bumper is it's made of heavy-duty steel tubing and plating. So, it's already a lot stronger than your factory plastic bumper. Factory plastic bumper is gonna provide basic protection and not really much functionality. So, this bumper is a full-width bumper. It's gonna provide flare to flare protection, but also it has very high cut ends. It's a very aggressive angular bumper that's gonna give you more clearance in front of your wheels. That equates to better approach angles. So, if you're driving down the trail, you find an obstacle or a rock that you wanna climb over, it's gonna keep that area in front of the wheel open so you can drive up and over that. Now, the next thing I wanna point out is the bull bar. You have a bull bar on there and this is going to provide additional protection. It's gonna push any brush or debris that you may come across on the trails out of the way and it's gonna protect that grille. So, that's a really nice feature. It also has light tabs on top. This is gonna allow you to mount additional lighting. And since we are getting rid of this factory bumper with those fog lights, this one actually comes with bright LEDs. Now, these LEDs are recessed, they're gonna stay in those little holes and they're also gonna be protected. If you're bashing against things, they're not gonna crack or get damaged. Now, these are bright LEDs and if you have factory halogens like we do, this is gonna be a huge upgrade, especially for nighttime visibility when you're driving on the trails. The next thing is this bumper mounts a winch. Not only does it mount a winch, a variety of winches up to 12,000 pounds, but it has a low mount winch plate. This is incorporated in the bumper, so that's even less assembly. And, also, that's gonna keep that winch pretty low on the front of your grille and maintain that airflow. That's gonna be a great recovery point having a winch, whether you're off-roading with people or you're solo off-roading. And another great recovery point is the D-rings. This comes with welded D-ring mounts and D-rings.Now, the whole thing is finished off with a very aggressive textured black powder coating. That's gonna add to that aggressive styling, it's also gonna protect your investment from the elements. This whole thing is a bolt-on design. Comes with brand new hardware, so we don't need to drill or modify our frame at all. So, with that being said, let's show you how this gets installed and what it looks like on the Jeep. So, at this point in time, we're ready to install this bumper. Now, it would be a good idea to get all that hardware stage and also grab a friend because this bumper is big and awkward. So, I'm going to get Jared to help me out. We're gonna get this thing installed. So, the insides are gonna get bolts. So, each one is going to get a lock washer and a flat washer. We're just gonna thread those into those holes. One for the top and one for the bottom. Then we'll do the same thing for the other inside. So, the outside is studs. It's gonna get a flat washer, a lock washer, and then a nut. We're gonna do the same thing on the other outside frame rail. And after that, we can tighten everything up. So, to tighten everything up, we're gonna use a 16-millimeter socket. So, we got the bumper on and tightened down, next thing we have to do is wire up these fog lights. Now, the nice thing is you're gonna get two adapter harnesses. You're gonna get an adapter for earlier models and later models. So, this is a 2014, we're gonna use the square adapter. Another nice thing about this is you get a relay for each light. So, this is all plug and play, I'm gonna show you how to do that right now.So, what you're gonna do is take this end and we're gonna take the relay and the relay is gonna plug into these fog lights. Now, you can route this underneath of the frame rail or over top. Really doesn't matter. After that, we're gonna take our other section, our adapter plug, and we're gonna plug these two ends in. So, black is gonna go to black. So, we're gonna plug these two ends together, slide this rubber over top of that, and then this end is gonna plug into our factory harness. So, we're gonna lay this relay down in there, plug this other end in. Gonna push that in till it clicks and locks, then we're just gonna tuck this down here. Then we can do the other side. Same thing. We're gonna take our relay, plug it into the light, make sure that that clicks. Once that clicks, gonna connect our adapter harness, slide our rubber sheathing over. After that, we're gonna plug our adapter into our harness. Now, at this point in time, you can zip tie all this excess wiring up and find a good spot for this, or you can actually drill a hole and mount this somewhere. We're just gonna tuck this in here and then you can zip tie it up.That's gonna wrap up my review and install. For more videos like this, check us out at extremeterrain.com.
