Ryan: The ARB Roller Drawer with Roller Floor Kit and Carpet Trim Kit is designed for those of you that have a 4-door 2007 to 2018 JK that are very serious about your rear storage solution. This is going to be a very high end, very pricey way of storing and locking up some of your gear and also adding some additional functionality with this roller floor kit. Now, this is going to be a pretty easy one out of three wrench installation into your Jeep, but we'll talk a little bit more about that in just a second. So this is all about functionality. You're going to have the drawer section that pulls out, that's going to be the lower section of this box that's going to be on some very high-quality stainless steel slides that are going to be able to take a very large amount of weight. This is going to lock into place. It also has an anti-rollback system. So if you are parked on a bit of a hill, it's going to lock in an open position for you, more or less. So it's not going to roll closed. And again, you can put whatever you want in here from tools and recovery gear to other supplies that you might need to carry with you if you're doing some camping or some overland style of wheeling. Now, this is the option that has the drawer and the roller floor. And what the roller floor means is this top section actually pulls out because this does become the floor of your Jeep when you have this set between the two rear wheel wells. So this has a separate lock, a separate mechanism that allows you to roll this open. When this is open, you have access to the top of your drawer, but that's not really what this is designed for. This is designed to have weight on it to have something mounted on top of it. Again, this will fit that 50 quart ARB, fridge, freezer, or whatever else you want to mount or set on top of this. And with this upper handle here, you can pull that out. When you have the tailgate opened you have very easy access to whatever's on top of here. So a ton of functionality built into this. This also comes with that carpet trim kit. So that's going to give you the pieces that flank your drawer on either side, giving you a very finished look to your Jeep from the back and also ensuring that if you have anything else set up on top here that might roll off, it's not going to fall into the gap between the drawer and the rest of the Jeep.So this is all about functionality. Now someone from the install team will show you how to get this bolted up.Man: Tools used for this installation are as follows. We're gonna have an impact gun or a ratchet, a 3/8 drill bit and a drill, a Phillips head screwdriver, 17-millimeter and a 13-millimeter wrench, a 10-millimeter socket, a 13-millimeter socket, and a 16-millimeter socket. All right, now let's get started with the install of our ARB drawer and to do that first we actually need to remove the drawer itself from the frame. Now to do that, we're just gonna slide the top back and with a 10-millimeter socket we're gonna remove the 4 screws on the inside that hold the stoppers in place. Now there's going to be two on each side. Now with our 10-millimeter on my small impact gun, you can use a ratchet, just go ahead, get these removed. There's one and there's two.All right. Now that the bolts are removed from our stoppers, you're gonna feel them drop out of the back once you go ahead and pull your drawer out, then just unlatch your drawer from the front handle. Pull your handle forwards, slide your drawer straight out and put your drawer off to the side for now.All right, now we're ready to bolt up our first set of side brackets. Now, these are marked left and right. Left will be your driver side, right will be your passenger side. Now you're going to use three bolts that come in your hardware kit. These already have nutserts inserted into them. Just line them up with the three holes here on the backside of your frame. Get them started. And with your 10-millimeter, go ahead and tighten them down. Now we're just going to go ahead and repeat this on the other side. There's actually two more brackets after we get these back ones put in, but these back ones are gonna hook up exactly the same in the same exact spot, just left and right because one is a little bit wider than the other. All right, now we're ready to get our front filler panel on. As you can see, this one is actually carpeted to match the interior of our Jeep and the top of our box. This one's gonna go right about here in the middle. We're gonna line up the four holes and insert the screws that come with the kit. Now I'm not sure why ARB gave us different hardware to mount the front ones and the rear ones, even though they use the same lock nuts, but they did. So this one we're gonna use a Phillips head screwdriver to lock these down into place and I'm still gonna use my small impact gun just with a different bit on it.All right. Now, in the Jeep we'll be putting this cover on top to lock it down into place. So make sure you line up your brackets really well, it slides down and locks in. All right, now you're probably wondering to yourself why this is so short and not the length of the whole box. Well, this kit that we have here today, well, this one is built for our subwoofer that comes factory in our Jeep JK. They do make another version of this that extends all the way down to the end and instead of putting this filler panel right here in the middle, it'll actually go all the way down here and your top piece will continue all the way down to the end, but clip in the same exact way and it bolts in the same exact way. It's just a little longer. Now we do have a cover that's gonna go on this side and cover up all this metal and these bolt holes that are already here, but we're not going to put that in yet until we get this in and mounted into our Jeep. Then we'll go back and get that slid into place. Now we're going to go ahead and get the other side put together and that's going to bolt in the same exact way as the side did.Now this is a little bulky, so with the help of a friend, we have Ryan here, you can give me hand. We're gonna lift this up into the back of our Jeep and line it up right where it needs to be.All right, next, we have this small filler panel that goes in here in place of your factory one to cover up your jack and the pocket that your jack tools go in. Now they give you the option to use a set of rivnuts. You're going to drill two holes in the bottom of your tub and it comes with two big wing nuts. Personally, I don't like the look of the wingnuts and with our Jeep it would get in the way of something we had bolted to the inside of our tailgate. So for now, we're just going to go ahead and lock this into place by lining it up, setting it in there. The weight of the box once it's bolted down into place is gonna hold that right where it needs to be, so it's not really a big concern to have those two wing nuts on there. All right, now we're ready to go ahead and get this secured down in the back of our Jeep. Now to do that for our passenger side, right in front of our subwoofer, we're gonna need this bracket that comes in the kit. Now that just lays down inside of this rail, we're gonna slide it and extend it out just as far as we need to to go ahead and fill up the space to put our bolt through and lock it down. But to lock this bracket where we need to, we're gonna use a nut bolt that comes with the kit. Go ahead and bolt this together, hold that in place. We'll make our holes where they need to be and then we'll get our spacers put in so we get this up nice and level so it's nice and level with the floor of our Jeep. This way our drawer is not tweaked. It'll slide open and close very effortlessly how it's supposed to. And with a 13-millimeter socket and wrench and tighten these down. Now after a little bit of measuring and figuring it out, found out which spaces I need and the exact sizes I need to get this thing all leveled out. Now all Jeeps are going to be slightly different. You're gonna have to take some time and find out which ones you're going to need to make sure the box is level in the back of your Jeep. Now I'm gonna get my spacer in, line it up, and I'm going to drill my hole down through it, get all four of my bolts in and get this locked into place. Now with a 3/8 drill bit, go ahead and drill your four holes. Now we're bolting this down to the floor of our Jeep. This is the hardware we're gonna be using that comes with the kit. You're gonna have a rather large washer square in shape. This is actually gonna fit down inside that channel. Then you're gonna have this other washer on the bottom. This is gonna go underneath your Jeep, so you're going to need a hand with someone underneath. It's gonna have this big foam rubber gasket on it. Well, what that does is once you bolt this down and torque it and tighten it down, that's gonna crush down around the bolt and make it weathertight. This way, no water splashes up and gets inside the Jeep and it causes it to rot out. We're just gonna go ahead and slide this down into our hole. Now with the help of our friend Ryan, he's gonna hold a wrench on the nut underneath and our foam washer so we can get this bolted down. Now he's gonna use a 17-millimeter wrench on the nut. I'm going to use a 16-millimeter socket up top on the bolt. Let's get these nice and secured. All right now we got to get our last filler panel in. Now, this is gonna slide right in front of your subwoofer to cover up all the bolts and everything on our drawer. We're gonna slide that back. What we're going to need to do is loosen up two of the screws from our side panel that we used earlier. Slide it in between that in our drawer frame, and then tighten them back down. All right, now that concludes the installation of our ARB storage drawer in our Jeep JK. Now this one, like I said before, it comes with the subwoofer. If your Jeep does not have the factory subwoofer in it, you can get the kit that just fills it all way out. Our filler panel will just be a little bit longer. Now for more parts and videos like these, make sure you visit us at extremeterrain.com.
