High-Performance Tie Rod Assembly. The Apex Chassis 2.5-Ton Tie Rod Assembly; Steel is a complete replacement steering component designed to improve the durability and reliability of the Jeep Wrangler JK steering system. It ensures precise steering control by replacing stock components with forged steel parts engineered for heavy-duty use, while noting that it is not designed for rock crawling applications.
Construction and Appearance. This assembly features SAE 1045 solid steel forged housing and SAE 4140 hot forged chromoly ball studs with induction heat treatment for superior strength. The parts are CNC machined for precision fit and finished with durable e-coating to resist corrosion. Components include CR rubber accordion boots resistant to environmental factors, with pre-greased and greaseable parts equipped with zerk fittings for maintenance.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and suitable for professionals or experienced automotive enthusiasts. No drilling is required, as it mounts directly onto existing steering components designed for the specified vehicle.
Warranty. This product is backed by a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects when purchased from authorized dealers and properly registered within 90 days. The warranty does not cover damage caused by impacts or misuse, including rock crawling.
Application. Specifically engineered to fit 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models with stock Dana 44 and Dana 30 axles. It is not intended for use with Dana 60 axles without modifications; contact the manufacturer for options. Not designed for rock crawling due to impact damage limitations.
