High-Performance Tie Rod Assembly. The Apex Chassis 2.5-Ton Tie Rod Assembly; Steel is a complete replacement steering linkage kit designed for Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT models. It enhances steering reliability by preventing common issues such as tie rod rotation and jam nut loosening, which are critical for maintaining precise control under heavy-duty and off-road conditions. This rugged assembly delivers dependable steering performance and long-lasting durability.
Construction and Appearance. Constructed with SAE 1045 solid carbon steel forged housing and SAE 4140 chromoly hot forged ball studs, the assembly is CNC machined for exact fitment and durability. It features a black electrocoated finish for excellent corrosion resistance and utilizes CR rubber accordion boots that provide durability and flexibility in harsh environments while enabling high articulation.
Installation. Installation is designed for professional or experienced DIY mechanics with no need for drilling or complex modifications. The kit fits directly onto stock Dana 44 wide axles, making the upgrade straightforward and efficient.
