I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com and this is my review of the Rugged Ridge All Terrain Modular Front Bumper, fitting all 2007 to 2016 JKs. The bumper is available as you see it here with the top block off plate and you can always add a winch plate down the line. Or you can order this bumper as a kit including the winch plate right off the bat. This bumper is for those of you who have been looking for a front bumper but can't find something that will both function and look exactly like you want it to. This gives you the opportunity to purchase a base and then purchase bolt-on accessories to really customize your bumper. So, whether you want your bumper to grow with your build, or like I said before, you just can't find something that meets your needs, this is a nice option. The All Terrain Modular Bumper that you see here is a slightly less expensive version of Rugged Ridge's XHD Bumper, which is also modular. However, the All Terrain Bumper has a slightly fewer accessories that you can add onto it than what the XHD has available. So, it really comes down to what your budget is and what you want your final bumper to look and function like. This bumper is built from 3mm steel that's covered in a heavy duty textured black powder coat finish to resist both rust and corrosion down the line. The bumper includes these D-Ring mounting plates and all the hardware that you need to get it bolted up to the Jeep. As you can see, this is just the bumper and not the kit that includes the winch plate, so this has this top block off plate in place. However, if you purchase this version and you decide you want to add a winch plate down the line, you can always add one to this. As well as being able to add different accessories, like different ends, over hoops, mini stingers, a lot of other options that are available to add onto this bumper so you can customize it exactly how you want it to. Another feature that I like about this bumper is that it will accept your factory fog lights, so you don't have to go out and buy auxiliary off-road lighting. Swapping out the factory front bumper on your Jeep is a pretty easy process. The first step is to remove the eight nuts that are holding your factory bumper in place, and some of them can be a little bit difficult to get to. So having a universal and some extensions on hand will make that process a lot easier. Once the factory front bumper is removed you can bolt on your new front bumper with the included hardware. If you already have some accessories purchased for the bumper it would make sense to install those before the bumper is on the Jeep. However if you just have the base, for now, you can install that on the Jeep and always add the accessories down the line without needing to remove the base. The whole installation should take a little bit less than two hours, and you won't need any specialty tools, just some traditional hand tools, sockets, and wrenches. Now even though the All Terrain Modular Bumper that you see here is Rugged Ridge's less expensive version of the XHD Modular Bumper, this can still get expensive when you start adding a lot of accessories to it. So it really comes down to what you value. If you want a bumper that is exactly what you're after and really custom and you're willing to pay for it, this is a nice option, or you can take a look at the slightly more expensive XHD. If you're somebody who is willing to maybe settle on a bumper that doesn't look exactly like you want it to or it doesn't function exactly like you want it to, then there are probably complete bumpers out there that are less expensive than this setup with a bunch of accessories added. So if you're somebody who's not content just picking a bumper off the self and bolting it onto your Jeep and you want something that is customizable, well-built and fairly priced, I think that this is a really nice option. So that's my review of the Rugged Ridge All Terrain Modular Front Bumper fitting all 2007 to 2016 JKs, that you can find right here on extremeterrain.com.

Love the look and fit
Fit's perfectly - you'll see I gave 'fit' only four stars and that's because the welding of the light fixture assemblies was off. The first fits perfectly, the second was out of line and required longer screws causing the light assembly not to seat as well as the other. We installed it in the dark using one LED troublelight. Did search out a YouTube video around how to remove the OEM bumper as those instructions are not included. No busted knuckles, no fits of profanity - the thing went on as it should have. Two people does make it a tiny bit easier and the 'L' brackets that hold the final assembly on are "challenging" to hold in place if you have big ol' wrists/hands but, otherwise, the install was a snap. Total time was about 3 hours for the bumper, end caps, and hoop.Helpful (6)
With the d rings installed can I hook this bumper to a tow bar to pull behind my motorhome?
The Rugged Ridge All Terrain Modular Front Bumper (07-17 Wrangler JK) has not been tested with any tow bars, nor is it rated as a tow point. While it should hold up since the mounts are at frame level, attaching a tow bar is at the customer's discretion.
Where do you put the license plate other than inside on the dash?
You can use item number J127056 along with this bumper to hold the license plate or make a custom bracket off the top of the bumper.

The d-ring mounts are not included, but can be purchased directly from Rugged Ridge.
