Description
Heavy-Duty Rear Axle Housing. The 8.4-Inch Fabricated Rear Axle Housing is engineered to replace the rear axle on your Tacoma, providing a robust housing designed to accommodate either an 8" E-locker or an 8.4" differential while preserving ABS functionality. This housing enhances axle strength and durability under demanding off-road or heavy-duty conditions.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from high-strength ASTM A36 steel, this axle housing features a 1/4” thick CNC-formed center section welded to a 1/2” thick formed faceplate. The 3.5” outer diameter DOM axle tubes are secured using a patented 3-point attachment system, ensuring superior tube engagement and support. The faceplate is precisely machined post-welding for a flush differential mount. The housing ships bare, ready for finish customization.
Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill with no drilling needed, as the housing comes with factory-width rear axle flanges welded at the factory. It allows reuse of all factory axle and differential components, making replacement straightforward.
Warranty. This product includes a 12-month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
Application. Specifically designed to fit the 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma rear axle configuration without modifications.
