Description
Adjustable Ball Joint Kit. The Synergy Manufacturing HD Adjustable Ball Joint Kit is designed to replace worn or faulty ball joints in Jeep Wrangler JK and JKU vehicles, improving vehicle handling and suspension performance. The kit offers options for knurled or non-knurled ball joints based on axle end forging bore condition, ensuring a proper fit and optimal durability. The lowers feature a fully adjustable and rebuildable design, allowing preload adjustments without removal from the axle housing.
Construction and Appearance. The ball joints are CNC machined from heat treated 4140 steel that is induction hardened and ferritic nitrocarburized for superior wear resistance. Heavy-duty studs are made from extra large 4140 steel for enhanced strength. Low profile dust boots made from thick nitrobutile rubber protect the joints from contaminants, and the metal-on-metal bearing surface provides a larger contact area than stock components, resulting in increased longevity. The kit is compatible with RCV axle shafts and includes zerk fittings for regular grease maintenance.
Installation. Installation does not require drilling and is streamlined by the ability to adjust preload on the lowers without pressing the ball joints out of the axle yokes. The process is straightforward for experienced installers familiar with suspension components. An adjuster tool is included in the kit to aid in proper adjustment.
Warranty. This product is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship to the original purchaser, excluding wear items, ensuring confidence in long-term durability.
Application. Fits 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK, with non-knurled ball joints recommended for axle end forging bores that have not been enlarged. Knurled ball joints should be used only if the stock bores have been expanded to maintain proper fit and warranty coverage.
