        1 2016 Wrangler - RayB

Recevied open box with defective front fender

Received the front fenders with missing yellow packing straps. Box was opened and one fender powder coating was defective. I was sold an open box with defective fender as a new item. If you order these and there is no yellow packing strips, be careful as the box was likely opened. This is not the first item from ET received like this with issues!!!

5 2012 Rubicon - Jasper Installation Time: Full Day

        Winter project

These are well made and very durable made from good steel. The first install was very time consuming because just trying to find the best way and i was by myself it would help if you had someone holding the finders until you get a couple bolts in. Make sure you get the inserts in straight and purchase the tool to install them. I decided to install inner finder covers so i had to remove the finders to install the inner finder covers then reinstall them the second time they went on real easy that time.

4 2018 Rubicon - Fitterchas Installation Time: Afternoon

        Synper flares

Install was difficult due to the crush rivets used to bolt the flare to the rear body . Broke the bolt in one on the last second to last rivet . Otherwise went together well . Solidly built . Too solid for rock crawling . The flares are so heavily built they will transfer hit damage to the weaker body points instead of the flare itself .

3 2016 Wrangler - SELs Jeep Installation Time: Weekend

Watch the entire install video first!

Overall a great looking, sturdy product. Looks great on my 2016 JKU. I like that these have the marker lights as well. HOWEVER, learn from my mistake: the video sections regarding the light install are a problem on the website. If you watch carefully, the guy first says that the white wire on the light is positive and the black is ground. THIS IS INCORRECT. Later, you will see that the light install instructions are repeated at the very end of the video but he correctly says that the black is positive and to be connected to the white harness wire, and the white light is ground and connected to the black harness wire. After doing it based on the first set of instructions and blowing both fuses in the box, I found the right way later in the video as I was working on the rear fenders. I had the same experience as others with both the washers not having clearances on some of the holes and the welting making the rear install impossible. No welting on the rears. Why oh why Allen heads?? Death by 1000 paper cuts is what this install was.

Added Clearance and a good look

Swapped out the stock plastic flares for these Snyper's and they look great and are solid. The install wasn't to bad by themselves, I chose to install inner fenders at the same time so it took a big longer than normal. The added clearance and great look are definitely worth it. The light is recessed so you don't have to worry much abut it getting broke.

        5 2016 Rubicon - GerryH

        Look sharp and well made!

Fenders look great and are very well made. I'm super happy with them, definitely a huge step up over stock. Really like the small running light on the side. Look sweet sitting over my 35 inch Nitto M/Ts.

        Great buy and clean look!

Debated between these fender flares vs. the Smittybilt XRC to match my bumpers. Chose these because of the solid material and small profile. Quality Westin product, with the only difficulty was trying to match the adhesive trimming. Heavier material required a two-person job.

4 2015 Rubicon - Fatboycraig Installation Time: Afternoon

        Nice looking, requires patience

I would suggest starting by watching the install video. Then unless you have the patience of a Saint, you're gonna want a Xanax before you get started. The front was pretty easy. The back looks like it should be, but looks are deceiving in this case. That welt that you just spent twenty minutes sticking on and cutting out? Go ahead and tear that off or it is nearly impossible to get the holes lined up. I gave up trying. Even without it I had to put the scissor jack under the fender to lift it up enough to line up the holes. If you've never installed riv-certs, make sure you get them in there as straight as possible. Then youre going to want to grind a flat spot off the edge of acouple of your flat washers so they will let your bolt line up. You'll see what I mean.. Have fun,and remember that nothing worth doing can be done without some cussing!

5 2014 Rubicon - KarlM Installation Time: Afternoon

        Great quality and solid.

After reading the reviews I was a bit concerned on the install time and scratches on the fenders before I even started. Turns out the packaging was great. Everything was all bubble wrapped and positioned in the box so that nothing got scratched. For sure the nut-sert they send is questionable but it's free, so you get what you pay for. I took the advice of other reviews and got a quality nut-sert tool like on the extreme terrain installation video and the rears went on pretty easily. The install video was great to answer questions as I went along as the paper instructions were pretty slim. For sure spend the $30-50 on the nut-sert tool and you will also need to use a punch tool or screw driver to help align the holes on the fender to the body. The body panel is pretty thin and ends up bending as you pull out the plastic trim pieces so you'll need to straighten out the jeep panel or just use a metal screw driver or punch to help position to get the holes lined up. Those were the only pain points for our install.

4 2018 Rubicon - Anonymous Installation Time: Afternoon

        Nice Fenders

The appearance and sturdiness of these fenders is great. They are made of solid material and seem sturdy. The only downside is that they are spot welded rather than solid weld. They went on well and they look great. The side marker light is not a turn signal but only a marker for when your lights are on. I'm not a mechanic. It took me a few hours to install. I also installed inner fenders at the same time that required a little extra work.
