Function. The Smittybilt 1068 Gray Water-resistant Cab Cover is designed to provide maximum coverage and superior protection to your jeep when not in use. It is made of a durable, weather-resistant material to ensure year-round protection to the jeep's interiors from dust, light rains or debris. This cab cover includes a door flap.

Installation. It easily slips over the windshield frame and roll bars, providing a snug fit to your jeep. However, this cover is intended for use without a top installed and using with a lowered soft top may effect the fit.

Fitment. The jeep cab cover is designed for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK 2-door models without a soft top installed and is not intended for use with hardtops.

    Fitment: 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 Details

Wondering if this will fit 2018 Wrangler jk. It has the soft top already installed but I would be using it when the soft top is all the way lowered and doors off

    • This was not designed to fit with the top on as this cover is designed to be a snug fit when topless.

It states in the description that with the top folded down the fit may be effected. I have a factory soft top, with that folded down how adversely,if at all, would the fit be effected?Thank you

    • If the soft top is folded down, the fit in the rear would be affected. You may not be able to secure the cover in the rear due to the top being folded down as that can get in the way.

Does this seriously take 20ish minutes to install? What's the average time after you get used to putting this on?

    • It really only takes about 5-10 minutes to install, but 20 minutes would be expected for the first try.

      Great tight fit

Very pleased, 1st time was with some effort, after you have done it once and make some minor strap lengths the 2nd time is much easier.

      Weather protection cover

I’m very pleased with this cover. It’s easy to use. It takes 2 or 3 minutes to cover my Jeep by myself. It kept my Jeep dry through a heavy rain storm as well. The cover is large so I suggest buying a bag to store it in if you’re going to bring it with you on the trail.

      Cab cover

I like this product, was just hoping that I would be able to put it over the existing soft top but nevertheless will continue to use it good fit and easy to install for one person.

      Great quality

I've tried out cheaper full-body Wrangler covers that ended up being very cheap material. This is high-quality and easy to put on with one person. It's a big more difficult to get it to fit perfectly snug around the entire car, but eventually, you'll get it to work.

Good product that could be great

Have been using the cover for about a week now with 2 fairly intensive storms under its belt proving it is definitely waterproof. I do suggest as others have to put a bowl or something like at on the sound bar to shed the rain off and prevent pooling over front seats. Now the negative, the latch down straps are a PITA, would perfer them to have option of adding a click connector which could go around the running boards. Additionally I like the eyelets but wish they have a few more like in back. Overall a good product that with some design tweaks could be a great product.

      Couldn't be easier!

I was looking for a way to leave my hard top off all riding season and this product is the answer to my prayers. It's easy to install and fits like a glove. Held up to a real gulley washer first time out and left the cab absolutely dry.

      Exactly what i needed

I live in Hawaii where on even the clearest days a 5/10 minute rain shower can hit. This cover goes on and off in minutes and allows me to leave the doors and the top off all the time and enjoy the beautiful weather. Great product!

Fits well...very happy with the cover

I am very pleased to have purchased this cover for our Jeep. It took about 5-10 minutes to install and it fit like a glove. The only issue I had, no fault of the cover, was with trying to attach the rear straps on the front doors to the body. I have rock rails that are too close to the body to attach the clips and I'll have to see about some type of modification. For the front clips I was able to use a body drain hole in the floor pan, so it will be fine for now.

      Amazing!

Been through about five heavy rain storms and not one drop of water inside. First time on it was a little tight but has loosened since. Fit is good.

      Dry

Fits well , but a little slow on putting on the first time . I suggest label the front, back, and left and right . So far I am (DRY) . don't force it on. Take your time and walk around sliding it on . It's a little bulky to store in your Jeep. Great for the money .

      Holes... Super fast

Didn't hold up to heavy rains well... Pooled over the front seats and then leaked through it. Got holes super easily. Don't try to stretch it over any part of a soft top!

      Good... not great

This cover installs easily and keeps out even heavy rain. My only issues are that the fit isn't perfect around the doors and that after only a few months each strap is starting to tear from the cover... not sure how long this will last.

      Works like a charm!

While it isn't as secure as a soft top would be, it's definitely worth the money! Of course, you cannot drive with it on. I purchased this specifically for pop up showers. I am pretty rebellious and hate putting my hardtop on. It's time consuming to take off and on as I haven't investing in a hoist yet. It doesn't take long to put on although I was a little confused when with the first attempt. I did not allow my husband to help since I would be the one who had to put it on regularly, away from home. After the initial set up (which took about 25 minutes), I took a sharpie and labeled the inside sections, "Driver side", "passenger side", "front", and "back". The labels have helped a lot! Especially when I'm in a hurry and it's raining. Now I can throw it up in less than 10 minutes. I have noticed that it tends to puddle up on top. The material is very heavy duty with the exception that during manufacturing one side didn't get stitched as tightly. There is some slight leaking around the seam on the rear driver side. However, I am extremely glad I purchased this so that I can be topless all the time! When I'm driving I just deal with the rain. It's a waya life, amiright?!
