How to Install Smittybilt License Plate Relocation Bracket on your Jeep Wrangler

Installation Instructions:

1. Park vehicle on a level surface.

2. Remove the (3) lug nuts holding the spare tire to the carrier and remove the spare tire.

3. From the backside of the rim, use the handle of a hammer to knock out the center cap.

4. Install the bracket onto the carrier studs with the wing nut facing upward and then remove the wingnut.

5. Install the tire back onto the carrier and re-install the wing nut.

6. Slide the license plate holder into the bracket.

7. Install the holding pin and cotter pin.

8. Tighten the wingnut to remove any play.

9. Using the supplied 4mm Allen wrench and a 10mm combination wrench, use the supplied hardware to install your license plate onto the holder.

10. Install lighting (as required) for your license plate.

11. Tabs on top of the bracket can be used for mount auxiliary lights (as required).
