      Video Review & Installation

I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and this is my review and installation of the Smittybilt Full Climate Jeep Cover, fitting all 2007 and up JKs. Today we're gonna talk through the installation of this cover, which of course is a very simple one out of three wrenches, you just put it on the Jeep, but we're also gonna talk through the construction and a few of the features of the cover. A cover like this is for those of you who park your Jeep outside for maybe extended periods of time and you want to protect the Jeep from dirt, from bird droppings, and from UV rays. This is also of course going to be a water-resistant cover, so it'll keep rain off of the Jeep, so if you do have the top down, this will also help with that. Although it doesn't have any anti-puddle bars or anything like that, so there is a chance you could get some pooling if you have the top down. This is really designed to be used with the top up. But it will give some great protection to your Jeep, and it does come with a cable and a lock, so it'll also add a certain level of security. This cover has about four different layers of material, and one of them is a spunbond polypropylene, which is what gives this cover its water resistance. It also has this unique diamond pattern that allows air and moisture to vent out of the Jeep without letting anything in. Some covers do have more of a felt material on the inside, which is softer and designed to prevent any chafing on the paint of your Jeep. This doesn't have that. What you see on the outside is essentially what you get on the inside, and that's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just how this specific cover is designed. However, as far as the rest of the construction, I think this is pretty well built. All of the pockets where the elastic is housed are all double-stitched. This does have reinforced grommets for the cable and the lock, and something that makes this a little bit unique is the fact that it has specific pockets designed into it for the mirrors. So, this is going to fit really well. All of that, and it comes with this handy carrying case for when the cover is not installed on the Jeep. Like I said before, installation, hardly worth talking about for a car cover. This is a one out of three wrench installation, you simply take the cover out of the bag, figure out which end is the front, and stretch the elastic so that it's over the Jeep. From there, you can attach the cable and the lock that comes with it if you choose to, or don't install that if you're not worried about the added security. No tool is necessary for this, the whole thing'll take you less than 15 minutes. This cover is what I would consider to be appropriately priced. There are other car covers that are full covers like this that are weather-resistant on the market, and they're right around the same cost. There are a couple that are a little bit more money that do have a little bit more of that soft material on the inside and that have specific vents built in, where this is a vented material so the whole thing is venting, but overall, I think that this is right around the price where it should be for a full car cover that's going to provide some nice protection. So, if you keep your Jeep parked out for long periods of time and you want to keep dirt, rainwater and UV rays off the paint and the top, this is going to be a really nice cover that will accomplish that. So that's my review of the Smittybilt Full Climate Jeep Cover, fitting all 2007 and up JKs that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.
