The upper spring rate is softer, designed to promote a plush and enjoyable experience on the street, as well as extreme articulation to keep all four wheels planted on the ground at all times. The second spring rate is firmer; located towards the bottom of the coils, its purpose is to engage only once the softer rate portion of the coil has been fully compressed. This second, stiffer rate promotes consistent stability control and manages body roll under high-speed maneuvers and extreme off-road terrain. Together, both rates act together to create a spring that’s comfortable and soft over mild conditions but able to firm up when necessary.
