Good mount for stock TJ bumper

Installed on my TJ with a factory front bumper with a Smittybilt Gen2 XRC. Fit perfectly. I could keep my tow hooks, lights on each end, plastic bumpers and license plate. Im not sure the appeal of a raised winch plate? This one is flat, as it should be, keeping your winch low. Very heavy duty steel. Very happy.

            OUTSTANDING!

I bought another (cheaper) universal mount and had to return it... so I bought this one..... WOW it not only is a perfect fit, no modifications needed, all bolts match up with no retrofitting or enlarging of holes, it was just put the winch on and put it on the Jeep! One other thing... this mount is a full 1/4 inch plate steel, yep it heavy but you won't be sorry that you got this one... best buy for the bucks.

            Fit like a glove

This mounting plate bolts directly onto the stock TJ bumper using existing hardware. Install was quick and easy. Mounting the Smittybilt X20 winch was a breeze.

This fit my 1997 TJ perfectly. I upgraded the bumper bolts to longer grade 8, while I was at it.

            Simple

It's pretty straight forward. Bolt the winch on, line the plate up on the frame and put in your bolts. Just make sure you use good quality bolts to the frame.

            Highly recommended winch plate!

I was looking for a winch plate to use with my stock front bumper. Unlike a lot of the guys out there, I don't see a point in running a huge aftermarket front bumper since I don't do any serious rock crawling. I do however have a Warn winch, so I needed a way to mount it to the stock bumper while still looking good. The Rugged Ridge winch mount is not only right on the mark price point wise, but it also fits perfectly without any issues at all. It bolted right up to my stock front bumper, the instructions were super easy to follow, and the quality of the part and powder coat looks like it's top notch. Extreme Terrain is always easy to deal with, they ship things out almost as soon as you order them, and their customer service is top notch!

Exactly what a winch plate should be

The plate bolted up easily to both my winch and framerails. It even came with two plates to act as spacers where it bolts up to the swaybar mounts. The powder coated finish seems pretty strong and the plate itself is very beefy. Overall it looks like a good strong winch plate.
