These Rugged Ridge All-Terrain Front and Rear Floor Mats in Black and for those of you that have a 4-door 2018 and up JL that are looking for some mats that are going to help protect your interior but not be quite as expensive as some of the other mats that are out there. Floor mats, in general, are pretty expensive for what you're getting, but they also do offer a lot of protection. These ones are a little bit more moderately priced than some of the others, but they're still gonna do a great job of protecting your interior. This is, of course, a very simple one out of three wrench installation. Of course, they're just floor mats, we're gonna throw them in place, but I'm going to show you how to do it just in case you're curious. So the big benefit to a rubber floor mat like these is that if you have any sort of wet messes, rain, mud, snow, anything like that, it's going to trap it in the mat. You can very easily pull the mat out, dump it, hose it off, clean it and put it back in. And that makes them a lot easier to clean than the carpet floor mats that come in the Jeep from the factory. These have a couple of different features built into them that I do like. They have a nice, deep groove design and again that's there to catch all of those messes. They do have some pretty high sides, at least on three sides of the mat that is going to do a nice job of containing any liquids. They have a couple of different methods of retention, which is really important. You certainly don't want the mat sliding underneath the pedals while you're trying to drive. So these are going to clip into the factory retention pins that are built right into that factory carpeting and they're also going to have some rubber nibs on the bottom to keep them from sliding around on you. So again, really good retention out of these, which is something I really do like. Now, some of the more premium mats on the market, they may have four sides to offer even more protection, so that is something to consider. If that's something you're looking for, you have a higher budget, you can take a look at those options out there. And if you wanted something that's going to take advantage of that factory drain hole through the factory carpeting, through the factory floor, right down to the open space underneath the Jeep, then you're gonna have to go with the Mopar floor mats, which again are going to be a little bit pricier. But if you're just looking for some nice protection at a more moderate price, this is gonna be a good choice for you, and this is going to come in at right around that $130 mark. So like I said before, floor mats are floor mats, pretty easy to install, but let me show you how to do it. The first step is going to be removing your factory floor mat. That is so that you can free up that factory retention pin that's built into the factory carpeting in order to use that for your new floor mat and hold everything in place. It's very important because you don't want those floor mats sliding under the pedals while you're driving. So if you want to remove the factory floor mat, you just give it a tug and set it aside. You can take your new floor mat, slide it into place and just press it over the retention pins in the carpet to make sure it's not gonna move around. Process through the passenger side is the same. You just pop the factory mat out of the way and slide the new Rugged Ridge mat in its place, resting the mat down over the retention pins. Then we can move on to the back. The process for the backseat mat is pretty much the same. Again, you're gonna have a couple of retention clips here, so just give those factory mats a pull, they'll come right out and you can set them aside. Do the same thing over here on the driver's side. This is a good time to clean the factory carpeting before you put your new floor mats in place. So now the carpet's nice and clean. We'll get the mat put in place and press down over the retention pins, just like we did in the front. So if you're looking for a fairly priced set of floor mats to help protect the interior of your Jeep, I would recommend this option from Rugged Ridge, and you can find them right here at extremeterrain.com.
