Simple installation for anyone.
I'm Ryan from ExtremeTerrain.com. This is my review and installation of the Rugged Ridge neoprene seat covers fitting all 2007 to 2017 JKs. This is a set of front seat covers, but these are also available for the rear of the Jeep. These are available in the black you see here as well as a few other colors. Because Jeep did change the interior of the Wrangler in 2011, there are a couple of different year ranges. So just make sure that you're careful and you pick the correct seat covers for your Jeep to get the best possible fit. Today, we're going to talk about the construction, the installation and of course the fit of these covers.Seat covers like this can do a couple of different things. If you have an older JK and your seats are beat up and worn out, covers like this will give your whole interior a new refreshed look at a far lower cost than recovering the seats themselves. If your seats are in really good condition and you want to keep them that way, you can go ahead and throw a set of these on there to protect your existing seats. Or, regardless of the condition of your seats, if you're just looking to give your interior more of a custom look, a set of seat covers is a great way to do that. These covers in particular from Rugged Ridge fit really well and they're fairly priced. As it says right in the name, these are neoprene seat covers. There's a lot of misinformation out there about neoprene that it is a waterproof material. It is not. It is a water resistant material. However, this is a wetsuit material, not a dry suit material, so this will become wet. If you leave the top off and your Jeep gets rained on, this will absorb some water. The nice thing about the neoprene material is that it is machine washable. If you do get a stain on these, you can pull them right off, throw them in the washer and get them cleaned up.Any material will eventually fade in the sun, especially reds and blacks, so I would recommend treating these with some sort of UV protectant spray before you install them in your Jeep if you're somebody who has the top off a lot or even if you run with the top on a lot. That'll definitely help to keep these bright and keep the color in them for a good long time. The nice thing about the way these covers are designed is, again, they are body style specific so they will fit in your specific year Jeep, which means they're going to fit tight, they're going to look factory and they're going to hold up really well.Getting seat covers like this installed is a little bit difficult. The inside of the cover does like to stick to the material on your seats, so you may have to fight them a little bit. But luckily, it's something you'll only have to do once or ever so often whenever you take the covers off to wash them. These do have built in straps and buckles to, again, make sure that they fit really tightly without any creases, so they look really good. But the fact that they do fit so tightly, again, makes them a little bit difficult to install. The first thing you're going to want to do is remove your headrest and slide the back section of the seat over the back. Then, you can slide the lower section that you actually sit on. Then, put the headrest back on the seat once all the straps and buckles are pulled tight. Now, you may have a couple of wrinkles in your seat covers when you first get them out of the box, but those will work out in no time at all. The whole installation should take you probably about an hour but it depends on how much you have to fight with these things to get them on. It may take you a little bit more. You won't need any tools to get this job done, just some patience. As I said before, I think these seat covers are fairly priced. You can certainly get some that are going to be less expensive, but in my opinion the build quality isn't there. They're not going to fit as tightly or look as nice when they're installed, and they're not going to hold up as well. A seat cover definitely takes some abuse, so you want something that's well built. I think these are priced really appropriately for what you get, and I think they're a high quality cover. So, whether you're looking to cover up a damaged seat in your JK, trying to protect a seat that's still in good condition, or you just want a custom interior look, a set of neoprene seat covers like this are going to look good and not break the bank. That's my review of the Rugged Ridge neoprene seat covers fitting all 2007 to 2017 JKs that you can find right here at ExtremeTerrain.com.

Key Features. Give your Jeep's interior a new look with these Neoprene Front Seat Covers. They're custom-fitted, so most people will think you had the seats reupholstered, which seriously elevates the look and feel of your rig. The neoprene material is the same stuff used to make wetsuits, so it's durable, soft and definitely compatible with the elements. When your Jeep sits out in the sun for hours at a time without the top on, the covers won't get super hot or fade easily. Installation is a cinch, and you can take off the covers to wash them as needed, which is especially handy after some messy trail runs.
Construction. These Front Seat Covers are made of Neoprene, the wetsuit material that's soft and a little stretchy. That also makes the covers durable, so they don't show really any wear for a long time. The material can handle all kinds of elements, plus it dries out quickly. You can even wash the covers in a machine on the gentel cycle. Elastic cords and nylon hooks are included, securing the covers to the underside of the seats.
Installation. Installing the seat covers is an easy job, but it takes some time to complete. Set aside about an hour to do both covers, which should be enough to get both on properly. Instructions are supplied, and absolutely no tools are needed. The process involves getting the covers situated on the seats the right way, then attaching the different hooks on the underside to the right anchor points on the seats and covers.
Application. These Neoprene Front Seat Covers are specifically made to fit 2011-2018 Jeep Wranglers JK models.

Great seat covers
Second set of the Rugged Ridge Neoprene Front Seat Covers. The last set held up 4 years until the straps gave up and the covers wouldn't stay put. They fit tight enough that you can hardly tell they are covers. The seats looked great and were well protected when I changed the covers. They do their job very well'Helpful (0)

Worth the money and effort
High quality, thick material and nice stitching. Looks factory/stock. I have a matching neoprene console cover so everything is now protected from muddy dogs and people. I plan on leaving these on until they rot away. Install was a royal pain but it's worth it. Will update if I have any durability issues over time.Helpful (1)

Be ready for a little bit of a struggle getting it on. Once it’s on it’s a very snug. Didn’t come with much instruction for the bottom part of the seat so I ended up hooking the hooks together. I would say about an hr with two people. Def recommend an extra hand.Helpful (3)

Nice seat covers
These seat covers are very nice and look great. They’re comfortable and fit nice and tight. They took a little effort to install, but that’s because they fit so well. The quality is also really good. Very happy with this purchase.Helpful (3)

Nice cover for protecting the original seats. I ride most of the summer top off, which can include sunny and rainy days. We don’t have long summers in northern New York so I take advantage as much as I can. These will keep the seats from sun fading and hopefully, some dampness. Does take some strength in hands for installation, and some patience. But technically an easy install.Helpful (2)

Love the material, HATE the installation!! So tight both my husbands and my hands where hurting trying to install. Yes, it takes two people! Plus the headrest and lower front seat cover ripped at the seams trying to install. Waiting to see if Rugged Ridge will send replacements. If there was a 1/2 inch more of material on all of the pieces it would be a 5 star.Helpful (5)
Would this fit over leather seats on a 2017 wrangler unlimited? Thanks!
These Rugged Ridge Neoprene Front Seat Covers fit in 2011-2017 Wranglers, including the Unlimited models.
I’m looking for something to keep my seat dry in the rain. Will these hold moisture, or would I be able to completely dry them off with a towel if they were rained on? I keep a bikini top on, so they’ll only get wet from the lack of doors
The Rugged Ridge Neoprene Front Seat Covers are waterproof. Though, if they are out in the rain, they will absorb some water.
Can you feel the heated seat through these covers?
Yes, you will still be able to use and feel your heated seats through the Rugged Ridge Neoprene Front Seat Covers.
Mine look pretty terrible because I can't get them to fit properly. The driver's side has a seat height adjuster that is in the way of a clean fit. Do you put the seat cover over the adjustment lever? Also, both seat covers sag and pucker because I can't find anything to attach the side hooks to. Any suggestions?
Will these work in a 2017 Unlimited Rubicon Hardrock with heated leather seats?
There are not pockets including in the back of these seat covers.
Yes, the Rugged Ridge Neoprene Front Seat Covers will fit with side airbags but are not designed to function with the side airbags.

The Rugged Ridge Neoprene Front Seat Covers will affect the side airbags yes. They will still fit the seat no problem but are not designed for the function of the airbags.
Hello, these covers do cover all of the back and front of the backrest, but on the seat portion you may have a bit of the original seat exposed on the sides. The height adjuster is no problem, the covers work around that.
These seat covers do not work in conjunction with seat air bags. They fit the seats but are not specifically designed to ensure proper function of your airbags.
