    Review & Install Video

I'm Ryan from ExtremeTerrain.com. This is my review and installation of the Rugged Ridge neoprene seat covers fitting all 2007 to 2017 JKs. This is a set of front seat covers, but these are also available for the rear of the Jeep. These are available in the black you see here as well as a few other colors. Because Jeep did change the interior of the Wrangler in 2011, there are a couple of different year ranges. So just make sure that you're careful and you pick the correct seat covers for your Jeep to get the best possible fit. Today, we're going to talk about the construction, the installation and of course the fit of these covers. Seat covers like this can do a couple of different things. If you have an older JK and your seats are beat up and worn out, covers like this will give your whole interior a new refreshed look at a far lower cost than recovering the seats themselves. If your seats are in really good condition and you want to keep them that way, you can go ahead and throw a set of these on there to protect your existing seats. Or, regardless of the condition of your seats, if you're just looking to give your interior more of a custom look, a set of seat covers is a great way to do that. These covers in particular from Rugged Ridge fit really well and they're fairly priced. As it says right in the name, these are neoprene seat covers. There's a lot of misinformation out there about neoprene that it is a waterproof material. It is not. It is a water resistant material. However, this is a wetsuit material, not a dry suit material, so this will become wet. If you leave the top off and your Jeep gets rained on, this will absorb some water. The nice thing about the neoprene material is that it is machine washable. If you do get a stain on these, you can pull them right off, throw them in the washer and get them cleaned up. Any material will eventually fade in the sun, especially reds and blacks, so I would recommend treating these with some sort of UV protectant spray before you install them in your Jeep if you're somebody who has the top off a lot or even if you run with the top on a lot. That'll definitely help to keep these bright and keep the color in them for a good long time. The nice thing about the way these covers are designed is, again, they are body style specific so they will fit in your specific year Jeep, which means they're going to fit tight, they're going to look factory and they're going to hold up really well. Getting seat covers like this installed is a little bit difficult. The inside of the cover does like to stick to the material on your seats, so you may have to fight them a little bit. But luckily, it's something you'll only have to do once or ever so often whenever you take the covers off to wash them. These do have built in straps and buckles to, again, make sure that they fit really tightly without any creases, so they look really good. But the fact that they do fit so tightly, again, makes them a little bit difficult to install. The first thing you're going to want to do is remove your headrest and slide the back section of the seat over the back. Then, you can slide the lower section that you actually sit on. Then, put the headrest back on the seat once all the straps and buckles are pulled tight. Now, you may have a couple of wrinkles in your seat covers when you first get them out of the box, but those will work out in no time at all. The whole installation should take you probably about an hour but it depends on how much you have to fight with these things to get them on. It may take you a little bit more. You won't need any tools to get this job done, just some patience. As I said before, I think these seat covers are fairly priced. You can certainly get some that are going to be less expensive, but in my opinion the build quality isn't there. They're not going to fit as tightly or look as nice when they're installed, and they're not going to hold up as well. A seat cover definitely takes some abuse, so you want something that's well built. I think these are priced really appropriately for what you get, and I think they're a high quality cover. So, whether you're looking to cover up a damaged seat in your JK, trying to protect a seat that's still in good condition, or you just want a custom interior look, a set of neoprene seat covers like this are going to look good and not break the bank. That's my review of the Rugged Ridge neoprene seat covers fitting all 2007 to 2017 JKs that you can find right here at ExtremeTerrain.com.

Key Features. Give your Jeep's interior a new look with these Neoprene Front Seat Covers. They're custom-fitted, so most people will think you had the seats reupholstered, which seriously elevates the look and feel of your rig. The neoprene material is the same stuff used to make wetsuits, so it's durable, soft and definitely compatible with the elements. When your Jeep sits out in the sun for hours at a time without the top on, the covers won't get super hot or fade easily. Installation is a cinch, and you can take off the covers to wash them as needed, which is especially handy after some messy trail runs.

Construction. These Front Seat Covers are made of Neoprene, the wetsuit material that's soft and a little stretchy. That also makes the covers durable, so they don't show really any wear for a long time. The material can handle all kinds of elements, plus it dries out quickly. You can even wash the covers in a machine on the gentel cycle. Elastic cords and nylon hooks are included, securing the covers to the underside of the seats.

Installation. Installing the seat covers is an easy job, but it takes some time to complete. Set aside about an hour to do both covers, which should be enough to get both on properly. Instructions are supplied, and absolutely no tools are needed. The process involves getting the covers situated on the seats the right way, then attaching the different hooks on the underside to the right anchor points on the seats and covers.

Application. These Neoprene Front Seat Covers are specifically made to fit 2011-2018 JJeep Wranglers (JK).

Do the seat covers cover the entire backrest front and back? Do they cover the entire seat portion of the existing seats? Just want to know if any of the original seats will be exposed once installed? Also, the drivers seat adjusts up and down is this a problem with fit?

    Cush

    • Hello, these covers do cover all of the back and front of the backrest, but on the seat portion you may have a bit of the original seat exposed on the sides. The height adjuster is no problem, the covers work around that.

Will these work with seat mounted airbags? In a 2015 2 Door Wrangler.

    • These seat covers do not work in conjunction with seat air bags. They fit the seats but are not specifically designed to ensure proper function of your airbags.

      Excellent product- install tips.

This is an excellent product, but comes with no install instructions. I will share some tips that made my install of the front seat covers easier. 1. First move the front seats as far forward as possible, then recline them for better access. 2. Remove both front doors and carefully set them aside. If you have a hard top, remove both freedom panels and the rear hard top as these are in the way. 3. Remove the center console and optionally, the steering wheel. You will, of course, need to remove both head rests. 4. The neoprene seat covers are an excellent fit because they are so tightly contoured. Try to do the install when the temperature in your garage is at least 93 degrees since the neoprene is more supple. Do NOT attempt to install these if the temperature is less than 88 degrees-- you will find it impossible to stretch them to fit. 5. I found that having three friends to help made the install easier--two additional sets of hands and one to serve beer and make rude and humorous comments about the three stooges and 1920s style fire-drills. 6. Total install time for me was less than 45 minutes. My three friends spent over 5 hours and had to be driven home.

Got these seat cover so I wouldn't have to worry about getting my seats messed up from mud or whatever I had on my jeans. Or spilling a drink on them. I also purchased the rear seat cover so my dog could up in without the rear seats getting messed up.

      Fits Like a Glove

These seat covers fit perfectly. While it takes some effort to get them on it is well worth it. You can't even tell they are seat covers. Tested them out in the mud Saturday and the cleaned up very well, I was able to wipe the mud off with a damp cloth. They are worth every penny!

      Rugged ridge covers

I really like these covers, but they were a pain to put on. Just as the rears were. Very very tight fitting! People were saying the instructions sucked. But I had no issue with them, it doesn't take a rocket scientist, just a little time. There's an opening on the side of the seat back cover, just make sure that's toward the outside of the vehicle and you'll know it's on the right seat. All in all good product.

      Good product for the price

The seat covers were a little time consuming to install but are a great quality. Anything that gets on them rubs right off. They are really comfortable but the tight fit of the cover does make it hard to adjust the seat. Overall I'm very pleased with the quality, comfort and look of the seat covers

I found that the head rest covers did not fit properly, and the seat bottom covers where very difficult to secure. Two of the seat bottom cover straps tore off the cover during the installation. I finally returned the product.

      Perfict Fit, Greal Look!

I absolutely love these seat covers. They go on tight and look fantastic It does take a little work to get seat cover through the seat back and seat, but nothing you can't do with a little patience. It took less than an hour to cover the front and rear seats as well as the center console. I would highly recommend this seat cover to others. In fact, I already have!

Worth the time to put on!

Best seat covers I've come across! They are made of a thick cushioned neoprene and are excellent quality. It seems like are purposely made a size too small to ensure they fit snug which makes them look like there is no seat cover on, it's perfect! It took ~35-45minutes to put and was a bit challenging at times but completely worth all the effort. You will not be sorry with the quality and appearance. Definitely recommend.

      Works like a charm

Just want to say that these front seat covers are amazing. I ordered them the day I bought my jeep. Threw them on in the evening. The next day loaded up and drove from Texas to Colorado for some adventure with the dog. The seats are perfect fit for jk 2015. Been in out over the 14 hour drive with wet dog and the water comes right off. These are some of the best looking and fitting seat covers you'll ever find. Amazing product. Can't wait to buy more items from you guys! Thanks P.S The back seats are just as amazing. Just can't believe the water and dirt it repeals off! If I could get these on all my cars I totally would.

New Rugged Ridge Front Seat Covers

I love them! I’ve only had them a few weeks and have found them to be very comfortable! I’ve sat in them for about an hour and I didn’t get hot or sweaty! I was worried about that! I’m not sure how they would be ona serious road trip! Limited instructions but pretty easy to figure out! They fit very snug! Hardly any slipping, hence...installation takes some effort! I would recommend these!
