      Product Videos

Hi, I'm Dave for extremeterrain.com. And this is my review and installation video for the Rugged Ridge Front Seat Covers in neoprene, in black and gray combo colors for 2007 to 2010 JKs. These will accommodate the side airbag on the seats as well and the center that's on there. Easy to install, so that's one of the reasons that I give them a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. You will not need any tool. It should take you less than 30 minutes, well under 30 minutes actually. So we'll have an installation for you coming up in just a minute. If you've got some wear and tear on your front seat covers, you know, blemishes or even got some gouges in the upholstery, one of the easiest ways to transform that look is to cover them up with some good-quality seat covers, and you could do that with the set that we have. Also, if you are trying to take care of that situation in the past, you're gonna be able to protect your JK for the future, because this is going to eliminate any other wear and tear that may happen to your front seats, because the seat covers will be taking the abuse from now on.One of the nice things about it is that if you have been out off-roading and you get a lot of mud, dirt, footprints from your pets getting in and out of your rig, one of the nice things about these seat covers is that you can take them off, host them down if necessary, let them air dry, then pop 'em right back on, and you'll be set and ready to go again.Since these seat covers from Rugged Ridge are made out of neoprene, in fact, they're fairly thick. It's one of the nice things that I like about them, to add a little more cushion when you sit on them. But because they are neoprene, that if you leave the top down one day when you're off-roading, go away get some lunch and one of those quick downforce comes up and catches you off guard, these are gonna be water resistant, not waterproof, but they are gonna be water resistant. So then, you know that the damage is going to be hit in your seat covers and not your interior. These also have a custom fit so that you know that they are going to fit your 2007 and up JK almost perfectly. Now, I say that in comparison to other seat covers that are out there, that are truly meant just to kind of cover up past damage. They are fairly thin, and they wear out a little bit sooner over time. These, when you put them on your rig, I have a feeling that you're gonna be pleased. I would put these on my rig in a heartbeat, because they're gonna give it a look that, on first glance, you're gonna think it's a factory install or a custom seat that you've invested in to put inside of your JK.Like I said at the beginning of the video, these are gonna be very easy to install. You will not need any tools. It'll take you less than 30 minutes, and that's why I give it a 1 out of 3 wrenches on our difficulty meter for installation. One of the things I wanna call out before getting started is the fact that these are being presented as 2007 to 2010 because of the side airbag situation on the seat. These have the cutouts to be able to accommodate that. But if you do like the look of these, they will fit 2007 and up JKs.So, first step in the installation is going to be to take the passenger seat and the driver seat and tilt them forward a little bit. Then you're gonna take off the headrest, remove it, put it down to the side. You are going to take the top portion of your new seat covers and put them over the top with the backside of your seat. Then the portion that you sit in, slide it on. And then if you look underneath, you will see some buckles that need to be arranged. And if you need any help understanding this, not only our video, but there is a great instruction guide inside the packaging when you get at home. Make sure that you don't throw that away. The final thing that you'll want to do after making your adjustment at the buckle, ensure that the side airbag portion, the cutout for that is laid out properly. As we move upward, take the headrest and then the cover. Put the cover on top of the headrest and attach with a hook and loop closure that you'll see underneath, and reinstall the headrest to the back portion of your seat. Then you can move the seat back into position and smooth it out. There will be no wrinkles on there, and you should be set and ready to go. It's that simple, which is why I give it one out of three wrenches for the installation. You could pay more for seat covers, and you could certainly pay a lot less for a lot less quality for seat covers that you're gonna find out there on the market. These particular ones I feel are a good investment. I wouldn't hesitate to pop these on my Jeep, because they have a custom fit. I like the fact that they're made out of neoprene. And when you touch 'em, you'll realize that they have a little more of a cushion to them, which could end up being a little more comfortable on longer rides off-road or on-road trying to get to the trails. Also, the custom fit on these actually make them look like they could have come from the factory or that you have invested in full-blown seating to change out your factory seats. In my opinion, they're that good-looking, easy to put on as well, and one of my favorite things, because I have teenagers and they're in and out of the Jeep all the time with dirty, muddy shoes and boots, is that you can pop them off and clean them. That's something that you just can't do with your factory seats or anything else that you've ever invested in to kind of change out the custom look of your cabin. So, to invest in good-quality seat covers, to cover up any blemishes that you may have on your interior, and to protect them for the future, it makes a lot of sense to me.So these seats are being called out to fit 2007 to 2010 JKs, because of the side airbag and the sensor that's on those particular years, but they will fit 2007 and up if you would like to invest in them. Let's face it. Life is not getting any cleaner, from having abrasions possibly on the interior of your rig and wanting to prevent them for the future, having seat covers makes a lot of sense in this busy world.I'm Dave, and that is my review and installation video for the Rugged Ridge Front Seat Covers made out of neoprene in black and gray, designed for 2007 to 2010 JKs, but will fit though the 2007 up if you like that, but 2007 to '10 made specifically because of the side airbag and the sensor that's on there. And you can check 'em out on extremeterrain.com.
